Problem with Menu Flow

I am using custom menus to create a menu with another submenu. In order to have the 'cancel' button go back one menu, I have to have a "Close Menu" script that opens the previous menu. The last submenu has items that the player can select, and when these are called, I have to close the men...

Back from my honeymoon, and the team's all working on Motrya again. (Well, Newbie's taking a break, but whatever). Estimated release time is now "Unknown," but it will be a much better demo when we're finished.

Galaxy 2 is one of the most obnoxiously difficult games I've ever played. It's pretty fun, but then you have to do crap like the flying stages or the Rainbow Ride purple coins and it totally removes you from the experience. Sunshine's worse about obnoxious difficult, but this is pretty close. The on...

Motrya, still chugging along. We've made more gameplay tweaks, and Newbie has added lots of cool new graphics. Right now, I am working on a trading card game (basically, a rip-off of Triple Triad) that will be playable throughout the game. Thank goodness for slice trickery!

It seems this problem is extending to other games too. I have to delete the Motrya saves folder every time i play in order to ever reload my save files properly.

EDIT: Just downloaded the 6/30 nightly... I will report back on whether it works or not.

EDIT 2: Looks fixed now!

Yup, I am. Never knew you could even play the original, heh. Is the original harder? easier? More, less fun? Now you have me tempted... There is a popular fan translation of FF3 made by J2E. It is one of the best NES games ever, but I would argue that it's significantly harder than the DS version. ...

@ Surlaw: Yea, I haven't spent much time researching it at all, but thanks kindly for the links. @ Baconlabs: Garuda is hard to beat without grinding for half an hour to get your dragoons out of job sickness. In general, I loved FF3. It might be the hardest (certainly one of the hardest) rpgs I've ...

Baconlabs: Garuda is actually one of the most clever bosses in the game. He's one of the ones against whom you really need to utilize the job system. If you don't have a team of four Dragoons when you fight Garuda, you are doing it wrong; the game actually hints at this by handing you a bunch of Dra...

The heck? Blaziken has one of the worst designs of any of the starters' final evolutions. It's so lazy and over-dramatic. Honestly it reminds me of a Sonic character.

Quick update on my post there. I have gathered this information: Walthros is continuing to save in the old format despite updating to the new nightly. The old save format has the most up to date data, and the new one seems to just have the SAV data that was originally loaded when starting the game. ...

I discovered the OHR through a friend before I had the internet, and used it and loved it. I've kept using it because to be quite frank; it's just so much better than the alternatives; Game Maker *insert version here* is too clunky to be any good (I dislike Drag and drop interface) RPGmaker *insert...

Here is a problem I have encountered. I am playing an older game, Walthros, which is passworded so I am unable to permanently update it to the latest nightly. Thus, game.exe updates the file whenever I load it up. Naturally, it uses the new save format instead of the old one. However, I had an old S...

I also hated SPM. Paper Mario 2 had the same meta-humor, but wasn't completely obnoxious about it.

It can still be helpful to have "outline" walkabouts to work off of though. You want to keep bodily proportions consistent throughout the game.
