It's the little icon that shows up in the tab of your web browser. I thought mine was just bugging out. Didn't realize there was actually an issue.

To clarify, I meant the Lost Woods in Zelda 1. Should have specified, my bad. Getting back to town would probably be teleportation, or something to that regard. And yeah, adding lots of variation to how the rooms/areas are composed would be the goal. Maybe individual types of areas that aren't landm...

@tmc: That's the goal. I'll need to get a lot of feedback to get it right. A lot of polish as well. I'm leaning towards making it sort of like a Lost Woods, where it's broken into maps, and each exit leads to a random area within the desolation. Then, I was thinking adding teleportation to key landm...

Nice! Never heard of hardvapor style, but I dig it. Lots of interesting dynamics going on in there. Thanks for sharing!

Yes! My idea is that gameplay-wise, the end of the game will come through rebuilding the community, which includes doing side-quest like tasks for people and giving them resources you get from battles. The 'win' condition is that you've helped lift the economy and production up to a point where it's...

I started a design doc for my hopeful project. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1gwKXubd5pqTqlvn-jE3kj3VnC20gUwUEwBDKdAW8I0U/edit?usp=sharing I'm probably going to be looking for an external artist (maybe more than one?). If anyone is interested in doing art for a game, I will provide more details...

I will also totally mail <a href="https://www.slimesalad.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5544">home-baked chocolate chip cookies</a> to the winner too, provided that they are okay with giving me a shipping address. Oh SNAP. The real incentives are coming out now. I gotta really put my all into ...

Tactical RPGs definitely count as RPGs if you ask me. The battles are simply represented in a different manner, graphically, pretty much. But it's functionally almost identical to a turn-based RPG. @Gaplan: good choice in FE game ;) Also, if you're serious about making a tactical RPG in the OHR, let...

I'd like to volunteer to make a video review/playthrough of every completed game. I say "completed" to mean anything with enough content to make a video about. This is partly to make my life easier, but in addition to that, I don't see much value in providing commentary on something that b...

A free roam build with the existing tracks in would be great. I mainly mention qualities you want from a song because it can help me on the right track to what you envision for your own game. The movie soundtrack bases are great. I'll go watch those again and listen to what they've got going on. I a...

@Pepsi: I'm always down to try new styles. If you give me a track you want with when it plays during gameplay, what specific emotion/aesthetic you want it to evoke, and any other bits you know about it (eg. Instrumentation, tempo, key, etc.), I can whip up a demo. It typically doesn't take me longer...

I've been making a lot more music recently, for games and for fun. I guess I should be sharing it here and not just over on Discord. https://soundcloud.com/kiefernemeth/red-mustard <iframe></iframe> I made this the other day while hanging out at someone's house. Oh, and since I'm getting more into m...

This one is particularly well done. Very smooth gameplay. I don't believe the dev has been around much, unfortunately.

You can check for the length of the input string with "string length(ID)". I guess you'd probably want to do it in a while loop to make sure it doesn't let you move on until a valid input has been entered. script, new name, begin while&#40;true&#41; do&#40; input string&#40...
