Ugh. That looks like so much fun. But I don't want to subtract 2+ weeks from working on the HotOHR project.

D'oh. I just realized, implementing that wouldn't work on gradually normalizing hero buffs or debuffs, since heroes can't counterattack. I think I might have to scrap the idea. But I can figure something else out design-wise, maybe have a stat restoration spell later in the game. Something kind of l...

Battle stat recovery?

A couple questions about how buffs and debuffs to stats that aren't HP or MP work in battle. Is there any sort of built-in recovery mechanic in the battle engine so they'll gradually normalize back to their default value as the battle progresses? If not, I had questions about using elemental counter...

May I suggest changing the Android game icon from the grave robber enemy to the Prime Pharaoh's face from the game over screen? I think it'd be more emblematic regarding the game's plot, moreso than a random encounter enemy.

*gaaasp* For shame!

...Honestly though, I was tempted to do that once or twice during my recorded playthrough, but I didn't want to mess up the flow of it.

I have this crappy little USB sub-monitor. Windows 7 regards it as a legit second monitor, so it'd probably do the trick.

What would you like to be tested on it?

It is indeed a really nice palette, but I feel some of the colours are redundant as several different ramps contain nearly the same shade. If it were to be cleaned up there would be room for even more colours. This is really true. The blue ramps in Neo's palette are way too close to eachother, and ...

If you've beaten the game, you might notice a cool surprise about the pyramid's layout: It's actually shaped like a pyramid!

So, a funny thing happened earlier while trying your demo. I was wandering in the desert and ran into a Dune Boros. It quickly killed Mayor, but Successor was still alive with Dagger equipped. The Dune Boros healed itself for 50-55 health every 1-3 turns ceaselessly, and Successor kept healing off o...

Let me know if you'd like me to do another playtest, it'd give me an excuse to try a different character class.

The Earthbound battle system is essentially the exact same thing as the Dragon Quest battle system. Just weirdly modern themed instead of medieval fantasy themed. Since there's a turn-based option in General Game Data > Battle System Options, that will let you get way closer to a turn-based RPG styl...

Ah yes, I did. The first enemy I ran into in the desert killed the Mayor in 2 hits, and since there are no resurrection items in the game (at this point at least) it was impossible to use the guy in the desert without first grinding him in the forest for probably more than half an hour. Which I deci...

Dang, that was quick. I'm still just drawing stuff for the most part. So, feedback... I picked the Dagger (or rather, randomly picked a chest and got the Dagger!) and am pretty much an unstoppable killing machine. The only thing that killed me was the first boss's poison attack because it was doing ...

Is there going to be a fix on cutting tiles from other tilesets/backdrops? The mouse cursor always seems to offset the tiles you are cutting from by 1 or 2 pixels and won't let you manually readjust using the keyboard. I know the exact thing you're mentioning. Recently though, I noticed the devs ad...
