I want your music for my Youtube videos!
I have just started making Dev Log videos to show my progress with my game and I have run in to a problem... I hardly have any music to play in the background. I was wondering if anyone is interested in sharing some of their own music so I can play it in the background of my videos. In return I can ...

I gave my idea a try... No slow down in the game, but definitely sore on the eyes. 1 tick is just too long of a gap between turning on and off the map layer. If it were possible, I'd say about 1/16 to 1/4 of a tick would be a better delay. Though I must say it did look like a pretty trippy effect so...

Actually, I think toggling the visibility of a map layer every tick would have no noticeable slowdown. it might be seizure inducing, but it won't slow you down :) Excellent! I'm not seizure prone but in the case that I do use implement this technique in my game, I'll be sure to warn players beforeh...

Thanks for sharing! This also just lead me to another idea I had awhile back regarding faking transparencies. I was just thinking, what would happen if I used this code to make a foreground map layer flicker on, and off at a specified rate (example. every tick). I presume it would make it appear tha...

Nice. Would have been good if the system audio captured but at least it will make all who see the video wonder what's actually going on. Yeah, sorry about that. I need to poke around in Camtasia's settings and get that figured out. I always have that same problem when I record videos. Fortunately m...

Yeah, I was actually going to do that once I get real maptiles rolled out. It may get tricky, for example if I wanted to do an overhead layer that's for the interior view. I think this might work: Layer 0: Base background layer Layer 1: Exterior view layer that is not overhead Walkabout/NPC Layer L...

Alright! I'll do a LP of Fart later today! Stay tuned, everybody. :) (Actually, I'm legitimately scared of this game since you're having me play it blind, and it was impossible to download without looking at the screenshot.) Theres nothing to fear. It's a very short joke game. With no real surprise...

LP my game Fart! If you do, you must LP it blind. It will likely only make for a 5 minute video but seeing your reaction should be good. Blind as in he can't read anybody else's reviews of it? or blind as in he has to play with his eyes closed? Blind as in he can't play it before recording the vide...

Not really sure if it's my thing, but it certainly is cool. Out of curiosity, how's that work anyway? Lots of electrical rewiring and stuff, I'm guessing. Though I could be completely off =p Well I can't give you an exact explanation since I'm usually testing out things as I go. What I do is I buy/...

such high pitched squealing at the start, glad I lowered my volume in foresight. Oh yeah. I guess that's to be expected with bending. I edit all my videos to stay under 0dB so there should never be a point of deathly loudness, but unexpected high pitched screeching is rarely enjoyed by anyone. Sorr...
