Okay, I'm just about tempted to break into the spoilers above here, as I've gotten to a point where I'm running out of ideas. But first: My stats so far (without the use of spoilers) is Level: 16 (with fighter robot), Experience: 108, Equipment: 5, and Parts: 56, with 4 hours and 59 minutes on the c...

Wow to everything. You wanna do something useful? Write an article. Break open Wandering Hamster, break open Vikings of Midgard, break open any sliming game you want, and pick a feature. Then, look in the scripts, look in the file and figure out how that feature works, and write an article telling p...

Hi Willy, It's actually been a long time since I've started a game fresh off its release, but you sold me on exploration, so I had to give this one a try. I've actually spent close to two hours today playing through it. Great game. This is probably my favorite of yours so far, and I really liked Cas...

Sheesh, why didn't I think to move one pixel up or down on ramps every third or fourth pixel step left or right (by reading pixel x)? I'd wasted so much time trying to move by pixel in all directions on ramps (through scripting), thus wrecking the caterpillar parties. Your video makes it seem easy. ...

Preproduction: Heart of the OHR 2014
Well, February is here, and the countdown to Heart of the OHR 2014 is about to begin. So, let's take some time out to discuss our gaming goals for this year's contest and get the motivation going. Like the preproduction thread for 2012, we will use this thread to talk about possible games we might s...

I've been considering starting Powerstick Man for a while. It's always looked cool to me. Should I wait for the Extended Edition? I think that depends on what kind of experience you want when the Extended Edition finally gets released. The original is 13 years old now, and I'm pretty certain it's a...

RMSephy, I like a lot of things about your game. Marking exits with arrows is cool. I think what I like most though is the act of triggering battles by slashing at the enemy. Really nice touch. Will this be a Heart of the OHR 2014 contender? I hope so. I've been picking at The Adventures of Powersti...

Looks great, James. The animations are flawless, and I love the little leaf jibs that break when the trees come crashing down. Strangely, what impresses me most is the way you update the frames for animations. Maybe it should be intuitive, but using pink lines to draw new movements before filling th...
