Willy Elektrix wrote:I'll send in all my reviews by Saturday morning. I'll play tonight, tomorrow, and Friday night. Is that okay?
Sure. I've got a bit of a busy weekend, and I won't be getting to the votes before Sunday. So, feel free to take all of Saturday if you need it.

Dragons Now that high-quality music is possible to include in OHR games, new challenges have arisen for developers using the engine. Music placement is an art, almost as much so as music composition. It's impressive how much an unfitting soundtrack can bring a game down. Dragons suffers from this, ...

Anyone out there still need extra time to vote? Willy? Fnrrf? TMC? Bueller?

If so, about how much more do you need?

If possible, I'd like to compile the scores this weekend. Let me know.

I'd just like to say, the voting for this contest had nothing to do with me not working on Legendary Heroes (or almost any game for that matter). Expecting a child is the main reason. I did mention that I wasn't too thrilled about entering the contest if my game wasn't going to be reviewed or possi...

I'd love to see that cover on the HamsterSpeak homepage and have it link to an empty blue space, symbolic of the hole its departure has left behind in this community, but I do think Volume #63's cover does a fine enough job symbolizing the end of an era, and it would be weird to have a volume cover ...

Yeah, if I had known from the beginning that it would definitely be voted on and such just like a "regular" entry I probably wouldn't have submitted it as part of the contest actually... mostly because it felt weird having Okedoke in the same contest twice when it was already a rerelease ...

Your ruling on the votes helps a lot though, thanks. I'm working on my votes now. Before you posted that, I came to the conclusion that the best way for me to vote was probably going to be to treat the save games as if they were sequels to games that I'd never played. Ugh, no. I hope I'm not implyi...

Pepsi: I'm going to need more time if I'm going to play all the entries. Is there any chance to get a deadline extension? How about until the end of the month? Is this something everyone needs? If I were to extend it, I'll do it only once more, and only if I'm given the sense that most people want ...

Memories of a Golden Era

For those of you who weren't around from 2007-2012, The Wobbler (formerly Surlaw) hosted a monthly OHR magazine called HamsterSpeak . It featured in-depth, full color game reviews, game previews, features ranging from articles on game design to silly things like comics and characters on trial for cr...

For those who might want to see Okedoke's "new to 2014" content rather than just playing through the old chapters again, I've just uploaded a couple of save files that will start you out near the end of the game. I've done the same thing for Batman since it appears the average voter isn't...

Tightfloss Maiden ...Oh, wait, I did that one already. And I'm back to working on it a bit. The Lemony Fresh Action Hero -A game I had started during the joke game / terrible game craze of the mid-2000s, based on a two-page story I did write, set loosely in the Powerstick Man universe, starring the...

I really want to play the entries before I vote on them. I'm hoping to complete my reviews before the end of voting, which you've graciously extended to the 19th. That's going to help a lot. If I think I'm getting behind, I might rush the RPGish reviews, but as of now my intention is to vote. I don...

Hey, I just want to remind everyone who participates in the Review Contest that the Heart of the OHR contest is still in its voting stage and could really use some participation. As of now, three people have given scores to some of the entries. I realize Heart of the OHR is in its third iteration th...

Hey everyone, Just a quick update on a couple of things: 1. Froginator, who made The Pumpkin Warriors, was able to get back to me this week, and he gives his blessings on the game being part of the Heart of the OHR, so I'm effectively moving it to the official entry column. What does that mean? It m...

Hey guys, just want to remind you that we've got about two weeks left to get the votes in. So far it's looking kinda poor, so voting heroes are welcome to come dashing out of the woodwork whenever you're ready (I know, I have to vote, too, so I've got three fingers pointing back at me). Don't forget...
