Just a note, that's not a Linux version, per se, but rather one for Debian/Ubuntu Linux distros. As for the Mac version, I wouldn't know, as I don't have a Mac. I think you might be better off just packaging it as a ZIP, and then having instructions as to how to play in a readme. Just my two cents.

Yup, we've got an unzipper. Though .tar seems to be more popular in some cases. Still, .zip is just fine for Linux.

Also, .zip is pretty universal, pretty much every major platform can deal with it, so no worries there pretty much.

Well, I don't have much experience with Wordpress.com, I've always only used self-hosted sites for work and for personal use. Still, I think I can find a more customizable WP theme that works with the limitations of wordpress.com

I'm thinking of writing an article, how do you want the html file formatted? Plain vanilla html with no fancy CSS?

Well, how's about this idea: Create a database of articles here on SS that's divided into different categories, e.g. general game design, artwork, sound and music, scripting, etc... Those articles could then be searchable and consolidated in a single place (i.e. Slime Salad) that would be easily acc...

As for personal blogs on this site, I agree that that might not be the best of ideas. I'm all for a separate blog site, though I do still see the merits of being able to publish articles here on Slime Salad. On the front page, there's a bit of text at the upper right hand corner that says " Lea...

I actually like that idea, though I can see how it might be a bit tricky to implement. Another community I'm part of, the Maille Artisans International League , does something similar. While the main part of the site is the forum, it also alloes for user supplied articles and posts with a single dir...

Don't the walk npc to x/y commands cause the sheep to walk diagonally? Yes, it does. I'm also planning on implementing diagonal movement for the player. Failing that though, it'll be a simple switch to make the sheep go from diagonal back to orthogonal movement. What distance are you using, Manhatt...
