With A, I started out with a basic pose of what I wanted. I generally have an idea as to how I want it to look. For the most part, I do know what it should look like and how to structure the lines. If I don't or if I can't get it just right, then I hunt down a reference photo. I either shoot myself ...

Switching the master palette around does seem like the ideal solution for what you want. Consider though, that it would look absolutely garish. Even for a second or two, the screen would look all strange, and that would include the menus as well, not just the sprites and the map. Perhaps consider da...

Because you're copying the text from the address bar and putting it in between the img tags. You should put a direct link to the image, not the image page, in the img tags. Better yet, as you're using photobucket, use the tool they provide. Should be on the right and labeled "IMG" with som...

Bob the Hamster wrote:I am curious, not counting tutorial-writing time, how long did that sprite take for you to create?
Roughly 40-60 minutes or so, if i recall correctly. But as I was in that zone where everything else just fades away, so I could be mistaken.

Heh, yeah, I haven't quite finished the new one on the wiki yet, though I really should get to work on it again. As for assisting you in learning the finer points, it's best to experiment with it first. When you come across something you don't understand, then ask. You'll prolly get an answer relati...

Balrog pixel art step-by-step guide

Balrog step-by-step Righto, so I thought I'd do a step-by-step for how I do my pixel art. Now, I don't claim to be an expert on the subject or even anywhere close to being an expert. In the same vein, this is hardly a be-all-end-all guide to doing pixel art. Further, I'm sure that a lot of the more...

It's a werewolf! http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/r552/ld2i/Pixel%20Art/Sprites/werewolf_zps5a6eb573.png The fur still needs some fixing though, and not quite sure if the blood splatters work as well as I hoped. EDIT: Well, I didn't fix up the fur as I wanted to. Instead, I decided to try my hand...

Cuz he's a lumberjack, and that's okay... Well, it's true that he does sleep all night and he works all day. And because of that, he lost quite a bit of that vibrant green in his flesh and he sprouted horns. His left bicep also got a bit better defined, as did his fists. http://i1171.photobucket.co...

Particularly the face. The left arm needs a bit more definition and clearing up as well. And some parts ar...
