Kalar mentally commands his skeletons to follow the wagon, keeping up with it in the woods and out of sight. He hopes Hrulgin will know not to attack now, but to instead wait for nightfall. In the meantime, he decides to try to gather information. "So, sir inquisitor. Seeing as how you were ta...

Actually, yeah, splitting the party with Robert and Kalar going off would seem to be in character. It's still possible with a surprise attack. Or, when we settle in for the night, Hrulgin can pick sentries off one by one, giving Robert and Kalar a chance to escape. And then take the inquisitors on w...

Everyone seems bound now. Hrulgin decides to shadow them, keeping behind everyone. There's bound to be at least one person in the back once they all get underway. He'll make his move then.

James, if Robert is going to attack, Kalar will back him up.

Summon Undead + Obscuring Mist + Enthrall just might get us out of here. That, and there are still 6 skeletons in the woods that can swarm in if Kalar commands them to.

This is not going well. There's no way he could possibly take on all of the riders by himself. Still, they don't know about him and the skeletons, so it should be possible to shadow them and pick them off one by one. Hrulgin moves through the treetops, going from tree to tree, keeping an eye out fo...

"We saved your city. We bled and were wounded for your city. We continue to pursue the person responsible for attacking your city. And you mean to bind us like petty criminals while we are in the middle of protecting your city. I would hate to read through your history books and see what you d...

Kalar will wait until the others respond before answering.

Also, where are everyone's positions in relation to the wagon? Who is riding/sitting where?

Blast it, the balance seems delicate enough without this added bluff. Still, if it does work, it will work wonderfully well. Kalar begins releasing a trickle of divine power into his voice, willing power into Robert along with the rest of his allies. "Well, my friends, what shall it be?" ...

Kalar decides to speak up: "With all due respect, if our hands our bound, we won't be able to aid in fighting Nathaire once we reach him. Remember, it was us who defeated the colossus, something no one else in the city was able to. You have my word that I will initiate no hostilities towards y...

Kalar doesn't share Voulton's optimism, but he'll follow his lead. Still, doesn't hurt to be prepared, so he focuses divine energy into his holy symbol, ready to unleash a spell. If it comes down to it, Kalar will attempt to <a href="http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/enthrall.htm">Enthrall...

Kalar realizes being seen with the undead would be problematic, so he orders them to scatter into the woods just out of sight. He orders Hrulgin to climb up a tree and shadow them from the treetops, ready to pounce on any potential attackers.

Kalar stops working on his magic item and gets a spell ready to go. He won't attempt to negotiate with the riders though, preferring to leave it to one of the others in the party seeing as how he might be recognized as a magic user after the events of the previous day.

"Who said anything about torture? There are various methods of questioning available that are far less crude than shoving slivers of wood beneath fingernails. Suffice to say that I have no intentions of torturing him, but I do have my own means of interrogation. Also, I do believe you've known...

"Indeed. I won't deny that it is partially self-serving, but I will also not deny that there are many potential benefits for all of us. Information for one. Gaspard seemed to not be entirely honest with us and was hiding something. Moriamis was welcoming enough, but as you saw from her underli...
