Joke's on you, those are hero battle sprites.

The other way to look at it is that it's been possible for some time.

It's too bad you have to register to post comments in the chat box; I didn't have enough motivation for that. And, well, without commentary here's not much interest in watching you harpoon whales.

"Old graphics tilesets"? Does that mean you scrapped all these tiles when moving to the new art style? Too bad, I'm slighty tempted to try to make a game continuing on with these (I won't be)... but actually they're already a it inconsistent in style to begin with. I'm curious to know what...

I looked over the list Mogri posted, and they're all OHR games, though Transylvania Girls was ported to Flash. That version has the nudity censored, and possibly some other changes. I would nominate Brood and Mega Tact if they're eligible. (Unfortunately The Interactive Storybook isn't a single game...

I finished the script and a demo of it. Feenicks kindly donated three-frame walking sprites, and BMR offered to improve the demo. Later someone can upload a copy to SS.

When saving a sprite in Paint, select a .bmp file format other than ".bmp (4 bit)", such as 8-bit.

When you save in 16 color mode, instead of saving a palette of the 16 colors you actually used in the drawing, it will flatten the colors in your image to fit into its own arbitray never-useful palette of 16 colors. You are going to need to get a different graphics editor, I don't think there is an...

Graphics and animation in particular is the biggest weakness of the engine (and is therefore the highest priority... unfortunately there's nothing in the next release, but I strongly feel we should make it the focus of the one after that.) There's an old three-frame walking script by it's about 13 y...

If you want to you can also change the master palette. It's useful to do so if draw in a style like pastels or bright colours. Hint: use the replace colour tool in the sprite editor. BMR: actually I realised it was more of a bug that it wasn't preserving colour 0 when remapping the palette in the fi...

On the topic of graphics packs, Fenrir and BMR drew/distributed their tilesets with pink as the transparent colour, which was getting annoying, so I added a menu to pick to pick the transparency colour: http://tmc.castleparadox.com/pics/importbmp2.png http://tmc.castleparadox.com/pics/importbmp3.png...

Wait, do you mean that you drew it in Paint, but when you imported it the colours turned out wrong? That's the opposite of what I understood. When you import graphics they are remapped to your game's master palette. The colour remapping tends to produce bad results because it likes picking greys. No...

I had totally forgotten about this, and the extension to two weeks this time. I like these crowd sourced prizes. And note that there's an additional prize for winning: you don't have to draw fanart! I'm going to have to wait until closer to the start date to know if I can justify signing up this one...

That's very strange, I've never heard of any problems with exporting bmps before.

Are the colours correct when you try to reimport it (importing the palette as well: select a blank palette and "Overwrite current palette" when importing it)?
