OK, good start. I think you may want to avoid Blogger, unless that makes things easier. It doesn't add much to this sort of webpage unless you want comments. Guess it could do with a very short introduction. Remember when the Indie Bundle was about buying DRM-free portable indie games at any price y...

Archiving websites and software are quite different though. Both Google and archive.org archive webpages and they have the same policy: you can exclude your webpages from their archives, including retroactively, by putting up a robots.txt file giving your intention. I'm guessing they're doing the sa...

That chart is 10 years old so things have probably changed dramatically.

I suggest adding Fenrir's Cthulhu; definitely one of the most recognisable and common of OHR characters. I think you've done a good job of picking only 'stars', but maybe it's still too many to fit onto a mousepad? It has to be mentioned that way way back in 2000 Pepsi Ranger put together a big coll...

Every time this comes up I hope someone will mention something I haven't heard before. I think that there must be modern pixel art programs out there which are ports of or based on programs from the Commodore, Amiga, etc, era, which still have good keyboard support. GrafX2 is actually one such progr...

Sounds like (starting with the title) a nice project! ohrpal.hss was very cool. I keep it ready for use, but haven't had the occasion to make use of it lately. On my phone, which I think is a typical size for an Android phone where the screen covers most but not all of the front, a 20x20 tile is onl...

By the way, there's also a diagonal movement script on the wiki: http://rpg.hamsterrepublic.com/ohrrpgce/Scripts:Diagonal_walking I found an amazing 5 articles on the wiki about making heroes and NPCs jump. For jumping, see the following article: How do I make an NPC or hero look like it's jumping? ...

This has actually been asked many many times. So many people here like doing things with the keyboard, so it's too bad that the OHR's graphics editors are so primitive yet no one has ever mentioned to me any other spriting program that's as focus on keyboard controls. Here's one of the previous thre...

Yea. The reason we haven't added an fade-to- or fade-through-colour animations is because 256 colour palettes make that difficult. Flickering a certain colour or palette is another obvious addition. But adding parameters to the animations, while straightforward, is a little bit of work (3 file forma...

Hi; I'm pleased to see you're still here. Because you are still planning to do this, I'm willing to implement a feature in the OHRRPGCE to import and export all the text in a game to/from plain text files; I've decided that this won't be so much work for me, and I should hopefully get it done quickl...

Hahah, nice title. I had a look at the source, and it looks like certain parts of the map data, namely tilemaps, wallmaps and foemaps, will refuse to reload when the size has changed. However other map data, including npcs and zones, will happily reload. I can also see that reloading the zonemaps ca...

On the contrary, I'm amazed at what a large percentage of people here are Americans. In other (English-speaking) internet communities I frequent Americans aren't so over represented, or are even uncommon. You guys are < 5% of the population.

Actually, "Untargetable by heroes" implies "Win battle even if alive": the battle will end if all remaining enemies have one of those two bits set. Yes, this isn't clear, ideally setting one tag would set the other. On-death bequest is a good solution, though I'm not sure what th...

It makes more sense when you note that quite a number of the translations are of the form "God brings them out of Egypt and is for them like the horns of the wild ox." And a whole lot else. The amount of variety on this line is pretty huge!
