OK. I added the "run game" command. I would like to add some arguments to it to make it more useful, namely an option to skip the titlescreen and start a new game or load a game, an option to return to the original game afterwards, and extra options to the load/new game scripts. Just... do...

There's no current way to get the next textbox field (textbox line is the only command to get textbox data), and I'm a little uneasy about it due to the complications of the tag conditions and the ability to trigger a script after instead, the details of which might change after the textbox rewrite....

Yes! I would be keen to contribute something as well, although I have no idea what yet, and I wouldn't start on it this year. I suggest that we add a script command to quit the current game and load a different .rpg file in the same directory or a subdirectory. It would actually be very easy to add,...

Ah, something revealed! (This halloween season has been awfully quiet.) Gasp, another witch game? Looks promising! I notice that the top-left corner of the box outline seems to be doubled up. Is that something you couldn't manage to avoid due to the way that box borders are drawn? In that case I wou...

OK. Ah yes, since there is no music fading you likely wouldn't want to it resume abruptly. Actually, I've just had another look at SDL_mixer and am surprised to see that it supports both fading in and out music (no crossfading though), so I'll try to add that as well. I don't know whether it works f...

I'll try to add it in the next few days. If nobody has any reason to want the music to reset after a battle then there's no point even adding a map setting to toggle it, which only adds clutter, so question to the audience: Does anyone here want such a setting? Of course, the palette does take up a ...

Hang on, is there a release window for this contest? Are you planning to start it on Nov 1st? I've just realised that the Halloween contest games wouldn't be included in that as I'd assumed. Was that intentional?

I'd love to see that. When it comes to audio features we're always limited by the abilities of our default music backend, SDL_mixer, which does't have much in the way of features (we'd very much like to switch to something else). I see that it does actually have the ability to seek within an .ogg/mp...

I figured. It always amazes me how much effort you and artists in general put into practice pieces in want of a project! Hmmm... a tech demo... you know, more and larger frames of animation/custom animations is something I hope to get into the OHR very soon (the next major thing I work on). Your gra...

BMR: Oh! I didn't realise that you wanted them to be 16 colours... but these look too high resolution to likely be for an OHR game. For something else, or just practicing as usual? The other two look good as well! The do look like they're rendered at a smaller scale, though. That center one in parti...

Looks great! That menu/UI is nicely polished.

Do the lightning zaps (and the bats) have pretty small hitboxes, or is there no indication when you injure one? I'm assuming they're one hit to kill.

Is it me, or is Tim-Tim's nose bigger in this one?

Thank goodness! This is only the 5th contest this year - the least enthusiastic year since 2013! I would probably try to enter a game, if not for all those other projects and tasks I should be working on instead... and the fact that I'd actually rather work on demos than ever declare anything finish...

Hey now, new features turning up the next week and stealing your thunder is one thing (and I note it wasn't me to blame in either of those cases!), but in this case I beat you by over four years! Though I'm sure there's some terrible, horrible, reason you're not supposed to do it this way. I was goin...

Whoa there Giz, an admirable effect but you've gone all-in perhaps a tad too quick, as it looks like someone's beaten you to it! I'll take "sorting strings" as your feature request though. There ought to be options to resize the choice box (and overhauling textboxes is on the cards), but a...
