I thought I would take a minute to give everyone an update. I am working hard on version 1.1. I have added cool new features, the biggest of which is an in-game checklist of all the parts. I'm really putting in work to polish it up so it is taking longer than expected. Expect a new version in a coup...

I suggest that the whole game should be much faster, but the time limit would be shorter. Imagine if you only had a minute and half, but the battles lasted about 10 seconds. I think that frantic pace would be enjoyable. That's my two cents.

Of course, OHR developers also need to make games worth playing and critiquing, instead of half-baked derivative crap. But in all seriousness, I think this is untrue however it might be a commonly held idea. See I think the problem is that there's nothing really setting the good games and the bad g...

And yes, make games and show them off elsewhere. It's sad that many games never seem to escape the SS/CP game lists, though there are few people around here to actually play them. In the past 6 months I've been trying to play various games (new and old) and provide their developers with feedback. B...

I put between 30 minutes and 90 minutes into each of these games. Every one of the games is pretty high concept. There is no shortage of ambition this contest. My ratings are below. 1) Dungeon Cards: The concept is novel and learning to play is very intuitive. The level of polish and balance is high...

Yes. All numerical values in OHR start at 0. So if there are 4 save slots, they are numbered 0, 1, 2, 3.

"too many save onetime tags"

I encountered an interesting debug message. I ran the game in game.exe, started a new game and saved it in slot 0. After closing the game, reloading slot 0, and then quitting again, it creates a g_debug .txt file with the following warning: Partial game data upgrade... Save slot 0: too many ...

I can't get the NPCs in Capitol Town to drop any of their items. So, I have none of those. The other one I'm missing is the very first one on the list (the coupler). I was also missing the tube, but I read the spoiler above and found it through that. Getting the Coupler is rather silly. If you woul...

[quote="Pepsi Ranger"]EDIT 2: I should note that I had missed a Level 7 surprise enemy (I forget the name, but they lurk underground and look like butterflies), so that's what gave me my 109th experience point. Also, I didn't realize the NPCs in Capitol Town were holding items. I haven't ...

I just want to say that I second the idea of turning the red herrings into more puzzles. A few extra parts to find would only make the game better :) The idea behind the red herrings wasn't to confuse the player, but instead to make the world seem like it had something in it besides puzzles and Par...

I played Spy Game for about 45 minutes today. The premise is cool and I hope to enjoy it. However, I don't feel like I made any progress. I disguised myself as everyone in town and tried to talking to everyone else to no result. I imitated and janitor and wandered around the lab, but there isn't any...

Bob: Congratulations on completing Ramble Planet! I am absolutely interested in porting Ramble Planet to Android. In fact, I recently got an Android tablet for the sole purpose of learning to port an OHR game. OUYA seems cool too, but I don't have one so I don't have a way to test it. My intent is t...
