Thanks for the feedback Pheonix & IDK. Much of the text and reading/books is entirely optional, most of it is backstory and lore for the world. I will certainly be paring some of it down, and it has already gone through several revisions and rewrites. The dungeon is intentionally big - put it do...

So far more or less enjoying the games on offer. Surfasaurus is standing out as a highlight, and I lament that Dark Planet doesn't have more to offer because it had a really promising start.

Thanks PepsiRanger, I will be sure to have a read as I enjoyed PSMan in the distant past. It's now day 3, and I am desperately hooked on playing Surfasaurus. The wait for the next day is unbearable. I have noticed a couple of instances of overhead tiles obscuring characters, eg in the Motel lobby wh...

My friend played for a couple of hours before finishing (he spent a while grinding and farming), but I estimate about 1 hour at the most.

Very impressive work, Pheonix. I have all the released games ready to go, but it seems a few entrants haven't released anything - Nathan Karr, Gizmog, Master K & Mammoth Studs. Also, Wandering Hamster technically counts as an entry, right? PepsiRanger, do you have specific criteria that we shoul...

I like it, can't wait to play the finished product. The hitboxes on the spikes are a little off, I thought I had cleared them but died a couple times. My only suggestions would be perhaps some form of acceleration, and a leaderboard for time trials.

Make animated tiles of the characters, then put invisible NPCs on top of them for activating text boxes etc.

Thanks for the replies. They're like delicious entrees to whet my appetite for your games. I'll do mine now: What is the setting of your game? Post apocalyptic fantasy world devoid of real civilization What is the "tone" of your game? Surreal, pulpy 70s style dark fantasy What's something ...

Who's excited?

SS has been rather quiet lately, which I take as a sign that we are all working diligently on our entries for HotOHR. Who is excited for next week? This is like Christmas for me! I'm looking forward to seeing all the hard work that everyone has put in over the past few months. So let's generate some...

Perhaps, it seems to have righted itself for now. I'll update if I encounter it again, as I am still working on box edges.

Thanks for the reply. I went back and rechecked and now the bottom left edge piece is being drawn over the bottom edge again. I can't seem to replicate the occurrence.
