Maproot is a container. Is is the same size as the current map, and all the map layers are children of it.

When the camera scrolls, the maproot is what actually moves (which was easier than moving each map layer individually.)

"Out of the hole, Rock-head." says Beardthar. The soggy sand-encrusted badger slinks out of the clam-hole with a guilty look on its face and a unopened clam still between its teeth, and follows Beardthar as he walks towards the tower, not bothering to wait and see what the others want to ...

Not eager to touch the ghoul remains with his bare hands, but curious all the same, Beardthar rolls the nearest heap of remains over with the dirty end of his quarterstaff. Perhaps we should focus on the tower... assuming nobody senses any more evil in here? Rock-head has another go at opening a clam.

(( @Newbie: Your post seemed a little off. First, you wrote with colored text, which I thought meant speech. Second, The badger FAILED to get the clams your dog is attempting to sniff at. Though, I guess it's possible that the dog can see the badger down in the hole. )) ((OOC: he succeeded at findi...

here goes nothing Beardthar moves next to Aisling, (his dwarflike untallness preventing him from cracking his head on what appears to be an overhanging board in H8) and attacks the wraith with his quarterstaff. Rock-head the badger drags a clam out of the hole and attempts to open its tightly seale...

Rock-head is a badger, not a rock monster :) So if I understand correctly, I can move 4 tiles and do a standard action, or 8 tiles if I do nothing else but free actions, right? And the rules for diagonal walking are interesting. I was previously assuming that no diagonal walking was allowed at all....

does anyone else hear those strange voices? Everybody is well aware Aisling is fighting now. There's a great bit of ruckus going on. Heh, no. I was referring to the strange ethereal voices uttering nonsense words like "DnD" and "OHR". Beardthar also heard voices discussing color...

Muramasa Remember that game for wii nobody bought except me? Although it is not a brilliant platform game, it is an excellent arcade-style 2d hack-n-slash, the graphics and sound are insanely good. The boss fights are on are on the scale usually reserved for 3D games like Bayonetta. Ooh! I was real...

For what it is worth, the large number of buttons in Tim-Tim 1 never really bothered me. I think ASD/ZXC is a great set of keys for keyboard control. My own gamepad has 8 buttons (6 normal, and two shoulder buttons) You probably already know, but TMC just fixed the joystick support in the gfx_sdl ba...

does anyone else hear those strange voices? Bearthar is embarrassed to ask the others about the strange voices buzzing in his ears because he is afraid he might be the only one who hears them. In the middle of a ghoul-ambush is a terrible time for auditory hallucinations [* Would I be out of line t...

<s>Beardthar snorts. "An ambush? In that wreck of wood? I doubt it. Is the tide coming in? They'll be cold and wet if they are in there." Beardthar uses Spot (+8) in the direction of the tower. ...probably too far away to see a bloddy thing... Rock-head is digging in the sand. Probably sme...
