Vire's voice has a calming effect on Ehaism. He stops panicing about the blood, and goes to see how badly he has murdered Ribbon.

Ehaism stands there for a while chopping the brain corpse into smaller and smaller pieces until his rage subsides. Then he scares himself thinking about how much brain blood he has splattered onto himself, worries it might be infectious, and tries to clean it off with handfuls of sand.
