Clearly the king doesn't *really* want his daughter back. Her political views differ from his, and he would much prefer to have her remain out of the picture so that his infant son from his second marriage will become his heir. He tells the hero that he is offering him a chance to save the princess ...

If I am reading the formulas correctly, a gold pickaxe should have roughly a 1% chance of Silk touch when enchanted at level 1 A gold pickaxe should have slightly more than a 25% chance of silk touch if enchanted at level 25. Every time I get that much experience I always spend it on sword enchantme...

Here is a theory. I notice that the amount of data that gets downloaded on each attempt seems to be random. My guess is that when somebody clicks the link to download a large file, the download.php script load that whole file into memory. This probably uses more memory than is allowed by Dreamhost's...

I will re-affirm that I am committed to the keyboard-driven interface, and any mouse-driven menu interfaces would be extra and optional. If I seem to talk excitedly about the Editor-Editor plan changing everything, it is only because I mean that it will change a lot about the source code, not about ...

Maybe the developers could consider (if it's even possible) to allow an optional "Save To" feature that allows you to save the game to multiple sources, including backup folders and backup e-mail or upload services. Perhaps that would curb unnecessary file loss in the future (more than th...

James, I think you calculated the locations of the strongholds incorrectly: the wiki says that they are positioned evenly around 0,0, not the new player spawn location. Not that it matters anymore? Yeah. I had assumed that 0,0,0 was the spawn location, and I was surprised to discover that was not t...

As far as I know, the OHR++ rewrite is long dead. I haven't heard anything new about it for years. FreeBasic is still being actively developed, and the FreeBasic devs are working on a gcc backend. When this is finished, it should be possible to compile the OHRRPGCE for any platform that has a gcc po...
