All this talk of frogs!

Makes me want to play Frog Fractions again!

Also, the devil-frog Beelzebufo is approaching its zenith rapidly! Look for a release candidate pretty soon!

I was admiring those hidden lighting pillars you built on the server

I have only been on the server an average of 30 minutes a day. I have been steadily working on adding more and better houses to our walled city hill (someday we will get around to the wall!)

These are oversimplified explanations, but I think they will help: Public Domain Anybody can do anything with it, no limits CC Attribution Anybody can do anything with it, but only if they include your name in the credits or the readme. CC No-Derivatives People can use it, but they can't change it i...

It would be helpful to be specific about which type of open source these sprites are. In particular, are they Public Domain or Creative-Commons? All the sprites in Wandering ...

I have a thought about the unlimited shop problem in Willy Elektrix's game. shop inventory limit data is stored in the saved games, so if you start playing, save your game, and then change the shop in custom, reloading from an old save will be using obsolete shop limits Willy Elektrix, if you start ...

Is this only for phones/tablets/iWhatevers or is there a regular computer version too? I want to play Bob the Hamster's version of Dig-Dug, but my phone is the kind that would probably explode if I tried to play a game on it (if it was even possible to put games on it in the first place, anyway.) X...

Here is the Android playtesting apk http://hamsterrepublic.com/tmp/BobtheHamsterDirtDig-playtest.apk So far I have only tested it on a Motorola Xoom tablet and a Nexus 7 tablet, both running Android 4.x In theory, it should be able to run on any version of Android 2.2 or newer, but I strongly suspec...

Bob the Hamster Dirt Dig Playtesting Thread

I am working on a game for iOS and Android, and I would love to have some help playtesting it. You can download the installer for the Windows playtesting demo o...

If you are worried about unlumping speed on a large game, you can distribute your game as a .rpgdir

Just use unlump.exe to unlump a .rpg file. Both game and custom are able to open .rpgdir folders.

There is no max file size, but here is a list of various limits: http://rpg.hamsterrepublic.com/ohrrpgce/What_are_the_limits_on_various_things%3F MP3/OGG Music is by far the biggest data. It is not surprising to see just one song be bigger than all the rest of the non-music game data combined. The M...

It was an avi file, but I am not sure what video codec it used. I created it with the command line: mencoder -oac copy -audiofile music.mp3 -ovc copy -mf w=640:h=400:fps=12:type=png 'mf://./*.png' -o timelapse.avi EDIT: fixed it by re-encoding with -oac lavac and then...

Yeah, I don't understand it. Every time I upload something to youtube, it gets scrambled, and then in a day or two it corrects itself. I have no idea what is going on :(

Good idea, Meowskivitch. This informal event is indeed something we should do frequently. The first of every month sounds great. Other than the mer-sheep, here is what I have been working on. This actually starts earlier in the week, only about the second half of this timelapse happened this weekend...
