I am actually about 80% through Fire Emblem Sacred stones right now, but I kinda got bogged down and distracted. I really like the game, it is great! But between playing on easy-mode, and being OCD about quitting and restoring from a save every time I lose a unit, I have ended up with a team that st...

What about the walled-city-with-no-walls-yet (Which I have named Wallachia ) There are a bunch of houses there with no purpose yet, I am sure one of them would make a great Rotisserie, or you could build a new building there. the Nether near Wallachia will also be a good place to gather quartz, beca...

... It's also designed to save your game in the cloud, so you never have to hit the "Save" button (nor do you have one to hit), so you never have to worry about losing progress.... This automatic saving has absolutely nothing to do with the cloud. It could work locally-- and would be even...

sotrain is exactly correct. slice lookup codes cannot be used in place of handles, you have to use the "lookup slice" command to get a slice handle from a slice lookup code

Yes, support for battlescripting will happen someday, but i can't promise any timescale. There is still a lot of battle system cleanup that has to happen first. Do you just want to detect if a particular hero has been hit by a particular attack? If so, you should be able to do it by setting a tag in...

I wonder if I should make it possible for an attack to change the music? (I guess the only thing about that idea that scares me is I don't want people to then ask for an attack that pauses the current music, plays another song, and them resumes it where it left off, because there is no way any of ou...

I love -mancy words. I could just go on reading lists of them forever. Back when alectormancy was released, I was seriously considering doing a whole alphabetical series of -mancy words as codewords, but since we already broke the chain with beelzebufo, I don't feel inclined to stick to that ;) I wa...

Dang. Callipygous is pretty great!

Not saying I have made up my mind yet, but it is a very solid contender! I would even say it is a firm, round and supple pair of contenders

Isn't that the fabled last level of Wandering Hamster? Close! My plan is to call the final dungeon "Double Nightmare Terra-Cotta Cactus Hell" and the final boss "First Decorative Desert Plant of The Apocalypse" although honestly, the version of the similar thing that Fenrir has ...

Wow. Apparently it is pronounced [kojoɬˈʃaːʍki] which contains two sounds that do not have any exactly equivalents in english. The best equivalent I could piece together from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:IPA_for_Nahuatl would be something like: Coyo...

Ah, I see. I thought the word was something special. :( I've never heard it before. But on the other hand I'm I'm no native speaker. I guess it is actually a bit obscure, it is just that almost every elementary schoolchild in the United States does <a href="https://encrypted.google.com/search?...

Cornucopia isn't very appealing to me because it is a common word that most people know. Obscurity counts for a lot with me when it comes to codenames.

Actually, Chernobyl has the same problem-- maybe even more so

Somehow Chernobyl reminds me of "Chernevog", the evil wizard from C. J. Cherryh's The Russian Stories series, and that in turn reminds me of Czernobog from Neil Gaiman's American Gods

Beelzebufo release soooooon!

I haven't declared a release-candidate yet, but we are getting super-close to the beelzebufo stable release. If you haven't tested your game with a nightly build lately, this is a great time to do so! This is also a good thread to suggest codenames for the following stable release. I won't be doing ...
