Specifically for RPG-games? There are a few, but I am not aware of any with export to Android or iOS The OHRRPGCE does have experimental Android support, and there are a few OHRRPGCE games in the Google Play store, and a few on OUYA If you mean general game engines that are not specific to RPGs, the...

I would love to have a better understanding of how AutoTileGen works. That would be the most important factor for determining if it would be possible to implement a similar feature. Also, perhaps AutoTileGen could be configured to work with 20x20 tiles, and to export to a 320x200 tilesheet for impor...

I was going to say that Spoons is getting these from this thread: http://cavemancircus.com/2013/03/18/12-great-movies-in-8-bit-gifs/ but that page doesn't have the Tim-Curry-As-Stephen-King's-IT gif, so I am not sure. I do love these sprite animations, and I would love to know what artist created th...

The flower is the only weak-point. The HP is actually housed in the abdomen, but you can't damage that part directly.

Huh... That is right.... I probably just did the math wrong way back then, and was wasting a big block of video memory somewhere. That sounds typical for me ;)

That reminds me. http://itch.io/ will sell OHRRPGCE games, although I don't really know how popular it is.

And I don't think technical limitations were the reason for the 4 hero limit either. With a party of 5 heroes the limit on NPC definitions would have been 35 rather than 36 (there was room for exactly 40 walkabout sprites on the single page of video memory which was available) but if I'm calculatin...

Unfortunately the limit on reserve heroes is pretty low. If I remember correctly, you are only allowed to have up to 41 heroes total, so the maximum number of reserve slots ranges from 37 to 40 depending on how many active heroes you have. This limit could be increased in the future, but I am not su...

Actually, because of badly implemented and over-restrictive copy-protection scemes in some big games, it has become a positive selling point for indie games to be "DRM Free" I am not aware of any good reliable safe way to do copy protection. I think it is cool that you are planning on sell...

I tested it in Chromium browser too, and the gradual increase of CPU usage climbs there too, although maybe not as fast as with Firefox.

It isn't just when I am clicking and doing things. it is continuous, as long as the tab is focused.
