couda swore they killed it sometime in 2013. maybe it was a dream or somethin' There were two bills introduced in congress to try and kill the US penny, but both failed. Last year President Obama publicly stated his support for killing the penny, pretty much guaranteeing that no republican would da...

In which country?

I know there has been a campaign to discontinue the penny in the united states, but it has not succeeded yet.

Whoa! That is kinda horrifying!

I can't tell if that is a suffocation-hazard plastic Pac-Man Haloween costume, or an S&M pleather Pac-Man fetish-suit

Was Indigo that cool side-scroller demo for [I can't remember which] contest?

EDIT: answered my own question: Yes it was

For the sideways doors, I like to put a patch of bright carpet. It draws attention to the door, and makes it look like there is some light shining through the doorway from the next room.

Nope. There is no built-in anti-piracy support. I am sure it would be possible to plotscript some, but I can guarantee it would be way more trouble than it is worth. Think of the bright side; you can advertise being "DRM-Free"! That is the Indie-Game equivalent of Organic Grass-Fed Beef ;)

However bleed between tiles is still a serious problem. I guess that could be special-cased as well, though. Like it would iterate through the tileset tile-by-tile and dither them each one-by one? Goodness gracious, those dither patterns look like Rule 110! I had to google that, and it is cool!

That is pretty cool! Your implementation does look better that the one The Gimp uses. I notice that it dithers the transparent color in the vikings tileset. Optimising dithering is fun. But on the other hand, it's a far better use of time to switch the engine to a 24-bit bitdepth than to work on thi...

I love that house! Perhaps someday in the future the OHR will have transparency, but with some extra work it can still be possible to get a foggy effect with opaque pixels. I was recently replaying Faxanadu, and I really love how they managed to fake a fog in some areas of that game. http://strategy...

Speaking of Bob projects, I was surprised to see your math game on Ouya. When did that make it on there? I was wanting to port it for a while, but only this weekend did I finally have the brainstorm of how to do the gamepad input for typing the numbers. That reminds me! I updated the OUYA port so t...

Glad you got it working! fades always happen at the same speed. If you want to fake a faster fade, you can do something like this: #Faster fade out variable(i) for(i, 0, 7) do( tweak palette(-8, -8, -8) update palette wait(1) &a...

That could take a while! Were you planning to resume Bell of Chaos too? Nope. Bell of Chaos is officially cancelled in favor of Vorpal Florist (which actually contains a fair amount of copy-and-pasted BoC plotscripts) Only two projects are in line ahead of Wandering Hamster. Vorpal Florist (40%), a...

When I first saw that article I suddenly got really excited, thinking that Nintendo had blessed Exploding Rabbit's SMB Crossover, and ported it to WiiU

http://www.explodingrabbit.com/games/su ... -crossover

But what it actually is does look fun too :)

The hat is now optional (but still very important)

I have written an outline for the rest of the game, but I want to finish up some other projects before I jump into finishing Wandering Hamster.

Focusing on one game at a time seems to help me get things done a little better (a little!)
