Re: Attempted voiceovers, OHR went crazy..

I recorded voiceovers for some of my lines in my game and was gonna import them as sound effects to be played while the text boxes were up. They were in MP3, so the OHR had to convert. The first one went okay, but then the second one it kept importing repeatedly and got stuck in a loop. I hit escap...

Probably just random luck.

The attacks should be chosen with equal randomness, without regard to what order you placed them in the slots

Don't forget you can always press CTRL+SPACE to insert a character picked from a menu. It is certainly slower than the other method, but it is better than nothing.

Thanks! I suppose part of the reason that I introduce enemies too fast is that creating them is probably my favorite part of making this game. I do plan to go back and add some more side-branches to the excessively-linear areas. I have a few plans for items that you will be able to collect, so that ...

Re: X-ZOM: Enemy Undead

Is it reasonable to ask someone playing the game on an Android phone to select a single 20x20 tile accurately? Or do I need to use larger tiles? 32x32 maybe? This depends a lot on screen size. I think it would be no problem to select 20x20 on my own phone, but it is a Nexus 5, with a slightly largi...

After looking a this page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_c ... population and sorting it by number of english speakers, I think it is kinda surprising that we haven't got any visitors from India (that I know about)

I haven't added it to the plotscripting dictionary yet, but this command exists: input string with virtual keyboard(string id, max length) Try it out! Also, adding PageUp/PageDown Home/End as convenience buttons for the PC version sounds pretty harmless. Players of the Android versio...

I absolutely love the rock tiles. Both the solid rock, and the background rock. The brightness contrast works well.

I think it would be nice to also have a background rock texture with more smooth edges so you can mix and match it with the more crystaline looking background rock you already have

The idea of a fighting game has come up several times, but nobody has ever gotten past the planning stages. Choosing the right engine for the job is definitely important, but the other big hurdle is that a fighting game requires a lot of animation frames. The art burden is really enormous, so you wo...
