2) What is the filesize of your rpg file? If it is zero bytes, that is bad news, but if it has a real size, then maybe it can be recovered.

Look for a whatsnew.txt file in the same folder as game.exe and custom.exe . it should have a version name and date near the top.

I already did-- sorry if I was not clear enough.

That "Could not unlump" error message means that your .rpg file is corrupted.

Please answer the questions in my post above so I can try to help you recover it. I don't know yet if recovery will be possible.
