I might retroactively cheat the spoiler since Elven is such a sensible language to pick up for a Wizard, if that is okay. If not, I can just ignore the spoiler and pick up the language anyway. No worries! The spoiler wasn't really a big deal, and Kailyn's question provoked Lady Kari to explain it d...

To Normin, Lady Kari says "Excellent guess. The cloaks are enchanted with resistance to fire. Please, examine one if you wish". She hands him a cloak, and does not address his query about the buckets. The cloak is large and roomy, and a large person could wear it over armor, but it also lo...

It took some googling, and I was never able to find an authoritative source, but it looks like the bonus languages for INT modifier has been dropped from 5th edition. Seems like the standard 5th edition way to gain extra languages beyond what is provided by your race and class is to beg and plead wi...

"Don't worry, I'll explain as best I can" says Lady Kari, to Sharn in a gentle tone. The Rumbleback orc sitting next to Kailyn reaches into the fruit basket, rummages around, and pulls out a handful of walnuts from a layer that Kailyn didn't even know was there, and begins cracking them. &...

Endure Elements looks perfectly fine-- I had actually thought that one was already in the standard spell lists

Curse/Bless water also seem fine, but the Rain God Curse pushes them up to level 2, Even though you have to provide your own water, it is still magic that operates primarily on water.

Oh, btw, forgot to ask (or might have missed the answer if it had already been asked), are we allowed to use spells from this list ? That wiki seems to be down at the moment-- But I am going to say ask first about the spells. I will probably say "yes" most of the time, but the homebrew st...

Kailyn and Cece d20 + Charisma + Proficiency = 12 + 3 + 2 = Success! The orc woman in the green jersey breaks away from the two men "See you later" she nods at the other two. "Imma gonna get in on this action." They watch, bemused. Eye-patch chews on the bite of plum. The woman ...

Kailyn and Cece The bald man stares transfixed by Kailyn's eyes. "You talkin to us, Lord Horns?" He asks "Now, he's prolly talkin to that waif" says the orc woman with a smirk, pointing her thumb right at Cece The man with the eye patch says nothing, but takes a blue plum from K...

Most of the city has indoor plumbing. This marvel of engineering is the biggest thing that property taxes pay for. Even in the worst tenements of the Poor Quarter, there is usually a rusty common tap in the ground floor where residents gather in like a village well. There is not so much water availa...

"I already know you are" she says quickly, winking at Big Hat Normin.

She likes a drinker who pays his tab in advance, and after that gold coin he passed her a moment ago, he is welcome to sleep on her bar-stool for another two days if he pleases

Petrol Petrol makes his way down the stone steps, out of the Low Judges office, and through the streets of Old Bakak. Except for the usual scattering of breakfast porters, the streets are largely empty. He sees one barrister, arms clutched full of file folders, perhaps heading home after an all-nig...

I won't be a stickler for encumbrance, just don't go crazy. No carrying around pianos ;) All the poor characters definitely know about Rumbleback. Wealthy characters may or may not know, it is up to you: Rumbleback is a popular sport in Great Bakak. Think of it as full-contact Rugby Football with th...

Normin Ms Zest, tavernkeeper of the Unlucky Thrush Tavern, gently prods enormous hat slumped on one of her bar stools. "Oh, yes! You still here? The meeting is today! The one you said you was waiting for." She normally would not have allowed a patron to sleep on a bar stool all night long...

Here is Caldon's house: ------- Caldon has been living in an apartment in a respectable part of Temple Hill, but not for much longer. The building is a property of House Fairmond, and they have decided to sell it. Why would House Fairmond sell the property? They certainly aren't in need of the money...

Kailyn Kailyn detours to the near edge of the poor quarter. There are not a lot of people out and about this early, just some Guild of Cooks porters rumbling their carts up Sausage Row. Kailyn spots 3 figures lounging on some steps beside the road. Day laborers? Two of them are human men. The young...
