The screenshot is just from a tiny test rpg using slightly modified versions of some of Fnnrf's free sprites. I might make it into a real game later, you never know ;) Nightlies are more likely to have bugs, so report them if you find any. Make a backup of your rpg file before using it with the nigh...

Caterpillar party at non-default walking speeds

So the caterpillar party has always been hard-coded to the default walking speed of 4 That meant that any time you changed your leader's walking speed, the party would stretch out or scrunch up, like this: https://i.imgur.com/uBb727O.gif That was fine if you liked it, and were okay with adjusting yo...

One of these days I'll get around to packaging HamsterWhisper with PyInstaller or something

I am just spoiled on debian/ubuntu where all the pygtk and pygtksourceview dependencies are already in the package manager by default

Maybe originally we were too embarrassed to be giant RP nerds in public ;)

I can't see a reason why this forum should still be hidden. I can poke Mogri about it

Everybody has pretty much said it already, but I want to say thank you too! The ohrrpgce is SO much better for your being a part of it, and not just because of all your great features and fixes, but also because you have been a good influence on me, and motivating me to make it better, rather than j...

Remember the start of the first Dunderstank campaign? You had something cool planned about overthrowing the ruler... But we all wandered off into the desert to steal dragon treasure instead.

It is already testable in the nightly, by changing NPC movement type, but it is marked EXPERIMENTAL so watch out for bugs, and be aware that the behavior may change by the time I finish it

NPC pathfinding

This is still a bit EXPERIMENTAL, and isn't done yet, but I have been working on A* pathfinding for NPCs https://i.imgur.com/yYeloAM.gif Besides being able to chase the hero, I would love to make a feature to cause an NPC to path to a specific spot on the map, or to another NPC instance. I am also h...

Caldon "Oh, Mister Morgensen! You are such a kidder!" She dismisses his gruff insult as if it had been a joking compliment. "The clients will be here in just a few minutes, I don't suppose you have somewhere to be right now, do you? I know you have some sort of family history with th...

Before Hyne even gets near the market, he finds a whole street full of clothiers and tailors. There is an enormous variety of clothing here, and he should be able to find almost any costume he can imagine, as long as he doesn't plan on dressing like a poor person, because all of this, even the stuff...
