"Oh!" Exclaims Catt, "Your are right! We're we really going to do this thing without Johnny Bugger?-- I mean, he's a stupid lecherous oaf, but he was OUR stupid lecherous oaf!... Besides, don't we want a man of his... Bulk on the front lines when we face a hungry dragon?" "I...

Caldon "Mister Morgensen..." Miss Pitt's chipper veneer seems to crack as she pleads, "You must take that up with Lord Fairmond. He is the legal owner of this building now, and I am merely his solicitor." At that moment a pair of dragonborn nobles appear at the front door, which...

Up the stairs, and into the Steel Nightengale The tavern is clean, and well lit in the front, fading to dark mood lighting in the back. There is a bar with a marble countertop along the right side. One bartender, one server, and two customers are the only people in the room besides Hyne. The bartend...

Do you plan on superimposing your rendered backdrops onto a map, and using regular passability walls or zones?

or are you going to put your backdrops in slice collections, and mark the walkable and unwalkable areas with hidden slices?

The streets are sparsely populated. Many have gone to see the funeral, so for the most part, anybody walking around in other parts of the city are busy doing something, or busy walking somewhere. Taverns are easy to find. Almost every street seems to have at least one, although at this time in the m...

"You'll have better luck asking around some place that serves liquor" suggests the eye-patched woman. "My Dad's Quartermaster on the Pride Of 9 Squid , they need more riggers." says one girl, as if determined to prove her guardian wrong. "You're too skinny for me Mum's ship&...

Haha! I read your post in great confusion before I remembered that a few years back there was somebody who was constantly referring to the ohrrpgce as "o-r-p-h-a-n-a-g-e". If you write that word without the dashes, it gets auto-corrected :) "I'm A Captain!" shouts a tiny dwarf c...

If anybody wants to use A* pathfinding for this contest, make sure you use a nightly from tomorrow or later (I just checked in another big performance improvement, which will be included in tonight's nightly build) Also, although no proper plotscripting interface for pathfinding exists yet, tonight'...

Heading east down the alleyway, Hyne discovers that many of the temples seem to have Alms houses for the poor, or other such charity operations behind them. Behind Moquol's temple is what looks like a warehouse for donated used and worn objects. A man with one leg is hobbling about taking an invento...

"I wouldn't even know" says Granath. "You want to know more about LaBlue, ask at the Lockean Alms-House." She turns and points down the eastward alleyway. As she does this, the other grandmother leans over and peeks at the cards in Granath's hand. "Rowdy crowd there sometime...

"Know her? Never had her by for tea," cackles Granath, smiling ear-to-ear that her partner has not noticed her cheating. "But I know who she is. She's captain of 'The Sanguine Revenge'. I believe she's more of a Privateer than a Pirate " "You know there's no difference!"...

One of the grandmothers chuckles, perhaps recognizing Hyne's reference to the popular comedic stage-play. "Only almost all of them, dearie!" she cackles. "Half the captains in Srappa care more about adventure than about wealth, so as long as you stay clear of the dull and stupid fishe...

Oh, yes. I might have been mistaken to assume that you were using the latest nightly. If you were using a nightly even a few days old, then one lonely pathing npc on a big map would bring the engine to it's knees.
