Final Fantasy Legend series is cool, but incredibly hard and cryptic. It depends how you play it. If you want to use monsters in any reasonable capacity, then yes. If you use a full team of humans, then they're all pretty straightforward (with the caveat that humans buy their stat-ups in FFL1). FFL...

While they are really good, these suffer to some degree from a distracting symmetry. Showing the face at even a slight angle will remedy this, at the cost of making the faces much harder to draw :v: On the topic of portraits, you can never go wrong by taking inspiration from Tactics Ogre (SNES/PSX)....

It's pretty much just substitution, I'm guessing. Tedious, but not all that difficult. Kinda like those crypto-quote things that showed up in papers. It would have been tedious, except that the first word was "XYY," and there are very few words that follow that pattern, and the phrase was...

Calm down there, fella. I'm just giving you a hard time. I'm sure you could've scrounged up an extra vote if you were cheating your way to victory.

You've done more for less, though, so it's not like it'd be out of the question :hurr:

Don't even know what a woozle is and I'm voting it over heffalump.

That's right, heffalumps. Callin' you out.

Yes, multiple times, but phpBB doesn't log votes, just voters, so I can't actually confirm it short of grilling everyone who voted last month. More trouble than it's worth.

Game of the Month: November 2013

Because you are all terrible people, and possibly because Spoonweaver rigged the votes, there was a three-way tie this month. In this situation, I defer to the cruelly capricious random.org, who dictates that the winner is Cat in Box, proving, perhaps, that cheaters do prosper after all. You'll want...

It's time for the Super Penguin Chef magic overhaul! What's changing? Generally, ultimate skills now cost about half as much MP to use. This makes them affordable for occasional random encounters. Potions were also changed, making them restore fixed amounts of HP/MP instead of percentages. This make...

Here's version 0.6a! The new feature that will have the biggest effect on most players is that units can no longer be rejected from a battle . If a unit would be illegal for the battle's format, it is automatically adjusted. For equipment, that currently means that the item is removed; in 0.7, the i...

Yeah, I'll do some editing and/or reworks on some of them. On reexamination, the actual Glabados cross is probably not very recognizable, so the Roman cross is probably better from an icon perspective anyway... http://www.slimesalad.com/files/jobicons2.png Slight reworks to the Monk, Thief, Priest, ...

Ha, those are pretty sweet. After some experimentation, I think I like a white outline around the icons. With the outline, the mini-icons are 12x12: http://www.slimesalad.com/files/jobicons.png (I did a little cleanup on the shield icon, which I thought was a bit too busy.) To give an idea of what t...

One feature I want to add is Job-specific unit icons. My thought is a 10x10 overlay that can sit on the top left of the icon; something simple: black and white and representative of the Job. Here's what I had in mind for the icons. I'm open to suggestions. Squire: an axe? Least sure about this, sinc...
