FFT Tournament 2A: Momoka vs. Hachi

Battleground: Magic City Gariland Hachi got a bye on round 1. How does he fare in round 2? This is our first battle to exceed ten minutes, so it's split into two parts. Watch the top one first! Also, advance apologies for how utterly boring the first half of this battle is. Hachi's team turtles and ...

Signups will close tomorrow morning, at which point I'll finish off round 1 (and maybe more).

Still left to compete in this round: JSH, Twinconclusive, and Hachi. If no one else signs up, one of them will get a bye and the other two will fight to the death!

Quoting because I glazed over this the first time around.

That sounds a lot like reviews :( Anyway, the idea behind ratings is that they're anonymous, with all the advantages and disadvantages that entails. -> Mix up the stars. James's games should obviously have miniature Bob the Hamsters. Surlaw should have surlaw heads. RMZ.. Triangles. Or have the game...

Noir means black. I'm not sure what you're getting at here.

Screenshot looks nice.

This has nothing to do with the new gamelist, but I don't see how some of my games have as bad of ratings as they do. Some of them I can at least understand, but somehow 11 people voted and Heroes only got a 2.5 rating, when based off all of you guys' comments on the show I thought it was better th...

New Gamelist

It's everything you ever wanted and more! ...Well, hopefully.

A link to an author's personal gamelist is available on the "Highest Rated Authors" list. I'll also put a link in your profiles soon.

In case it wasn't clear from the video, I did end up rerunning 1B.

And signups are still open until further notice! Could really use one more entrant to make it an even eight.

Emulator. How else would the screen capture work?

Besides which, configuring everyone's units by Gameshark would be a complete pain.

Disclaimer: I do still own my own copy of the Final Fantasy Tactics PSX game disc as well as a working PSX unit that I should really get rid of.

Not as such... Whoever wins round 1 goes onto round 2, and so forth. The pairings will be random for the entire tournament.

So you could say there are brackets, but they're being generated as we go.

FFT Tournament 1B: Mogri vs. Aeth

Battleground: Cemetery of Heavenly Knight, Balbanes This is never an actual in-game battle location; it appears in a single, brief cutscene. A more balanced battle than the last, but that's not saying much. Apologies for the poor audio quality. A cautionary tale on the perils of putting Dragon Spiri...

This is the PSX version. The PSP version is mostly the same as long as you only care about the generics, but there are two new classes and some slight gameplay differences.

Wizard couldn't use Draw Out, Priest couldn't use Item. They blew through their MP super quickly and were useless. Iris kept them busy with Charm and James did most of the legwork. It was pretty impressive, really.

FFT Tournament 1A: Momoka vs. Uncommon

Battleground: Goland Coal City This is the second time I've recorded this battle. This time, characters were set to Lv.35, allowing the AI to use the full range of abilities. The original recording was about five times as long and went the other way. <object width="425" height="344&qu...
