I learned a lot about US geography from playing Where in the USA is Carmen Sandiego? as a kid. My first exposure to the magical world of multiplication came from Midnight Rescue -- the first time the robots started giving me multiplication problems, I had no idea what to do. I had a little breakdown...

Bizarre! I was just thinking to myself that word games would be the least likely genre to ever pop up on the OHRRPGCE. Guess I'd better get started on that first-person shooter.

If enough people fail to play one particular game, it may quickly rise to the top of the voting and be a declared the winner. Consequently, it is in your own interests to play ea...

You're right. It's 25% smaller now.

Anyway, if it makes you feel any better, I'll probably forget to update the GOTM until a few days into April :hurr:

SLIMES! now appears in its own brand-new section on the front page. If the game were to have an attached image, that would appear as well (hint, hint).

Don't forget to throw in your nominations by the 25th!

If it's part of a chain, then there's no way to check costs mid-chain. This is true for both heroes and enemies. I filed a bug on it while creating Crystal Chasers (the Bard was originally going to use MP to determine how many times to sing a song, but I ended up having to create three or four copie...

Do you have the "recheck costs after delay" bitset enabled for the attack being used?

Oh, the shop list scrolls down. This is obviously not your fault, but I wish there were something in the engine to indicate that. Finished the game. I still think the empty chest on floor 2 is sadistic, but the tons of gold make sense now that I realize there was somewhere to spend it all. I wish La...

All the shopkeepers sell the same stuff (weapons and Herb). Should they be selling different stuff, then?

Here's my comments on the entries. (I assume this is OK? Most of them already have discussion threads.) Bell of Chaos by James Paige Very technically impressive, very visually impressive. Very difficult without abusing saves. I found the bell difficult to control, especially to use as a weapon witho...

- The stairs at the end of level 3 take you back to the entrance to level 3. (Intentional?)
- CURE is unusable outside of battle.
- Arial never learns any magic.
