EDIT: Trying to solve the problem by adding a Defend command, but when the effects ware off after the next turn, their defense is even lower than before. Make sure the "un-defend" attack is set up right. If your Defend command boosts your defense to double/triple/quadruple the hero's curr...

* TMC has cleaned up hero stat caps, and added the concept of a "base" stat, independent of the "current" and "max" stat. the Base state is what the max stat would be before any equipment has been equipped. Oh hey, this fixes the Magic Cheese bug in Okédoké doesn't it?...

you might as well be voting on the word rhino or cactus, or rhinocactus.
I'm already picturing a cactus with big rhino horns instead of spines... Rhinocactus should be the codename the next time we get back around to R. XD

I've also used ZZT and Megazeux in the past, before I found out that there were RPG maker programs (like the OHRRPGCE.) I actually still have a couple of the ancient ZZT games that I actually finished (the MZX stuff was lost forever when one of my older computers' hard drive died, unfortunately) but...

Oh, whoops... somehow missed that part. I'll try it out the next time I have some free time.

Is this only for phones/tablets/iWhatevers or is there a regular computer version too? I want to play Bob the Hamster's version of Dig-Dug, but my phone is the kind that would probably explode if I tried to play a game on it (if it was even possible to put games on it in the first place, anyway.) I'm guessing it is the "several areas separated by black space" kind of thing that's not allowed. Several things on the same map should probably be okay I would think, as long as it can't be mistaken for multiple maps.

I've now managed 7 points on Hard! I think the problem I was having before is that I was freaking out about the fact that there were 3 monsters and they were all that fast, and I didn't notice that only one of them came after you right away. Whoops! EDIT: Also got 7 on Easy just now, and 9 on Medium.

After a few tries with each one...

Simple: 9
Easy: 3
Medium: 3
Hard: 1
Challenging: 3
Extreme: 3

I have a hard time understanding how "you're slow, monsters aren't, and there's still three of them" is NOT the highest difficulty level.

WHOA. This reminds me of... something. I just can't remember the name of it... it was this old (80s or early 90s) computer game that I found on a "500 games" CD back in elementary school which had that same kind of multicolored first-person 3D dungeon thing... and also really bizarre enemi...

Nominating Super Penguin Chef and Dreg Sector: The Tract. One of those would've been The K'hyurbhi Lands if I had posted these just a day ago... I was pretty sure Dungeonmen would win, but I definitely was not expecting my own game to end up getting 2nd place, especially after how badly Okédoké has ...

I've noticed a "first item in shops" bug for a while now too, though I never use hiring heroes in a shop in any of my games so I haven't seen how it affects them. The first item in a shop seems to want to revert everything about itself (buy/sell prices, name, etc.) to its default setting i...

Yeah, graphics can be tricky at first. It definitely takes a lot of practice to get very good at it... but if you keep it up you should be able to make decent graphics eventually. (Try comparing the graphics from my old crappy game The Kirby Lands--most of which were made 12-13 years ago--to the gra...

I only have one newly-released game left to play before I'm done and ready to vote. Will probably at least attempt to play enough of Vikings to find the new content in it and vote on that, too, but I don't know if I'll have time with school starting up. (Which version of Vikings is the HotOHR entry ...

It's just like poison, so it keeps going forever by default. You'd have to chain it to an attack that sets the regen register to max (or has the "reset regen register" bitset on) to get it to go away.
