Thanks! I found what you were talking about.

I just didn't know if there might be a way or if I was just missing something. Didn't want to post a request for something you might already be able to do.

plotscripting help

Does anyone know if there is a way to do these things with plotscripting ? I have done quite a bit of looking and I was just surprised that I couldn't find a way to do any of this. 1) getting an item's "Info" returned as a string 2) getting an item's "Value" returned as a variabl...

Another "Blu Eternal" Music Update

It's taken me a little while to find the time to compose, but this has been a long time coming. It is a string orchestra arrangement of my theme for Blu Eternal. In case any of you are wondering, yes this is the type of music you can expect to hear throughout the game. <a href="http://www.garag...

I really think this contest produced a lot of great work. If I do another one, I will make it much more organized than I did this time. Sorry it was so confusing. Was my first time trying to do one. :gonk: Ok, I think I have given it long enough for votes. Here are the first and second place winners...

I like this idea a LOT! I have seen it used in tabletop and LARP games, but this is the first I've heard of it in this context. Sounds like a great concept though.

DANG! This is a great game! I'm not a big fan of puzzle games or Lemming-like games, but I am very very impressed. Addictive! Some of the best work I've seen on the OHR. Good job!

Just did this today because I thought it might help you to see what I mean. http://i536.photobucket.com/albums/ff330/vampiducki/MagusAndJyakku.gif I used the Magus sprite as a template and shaded my character in similar ways (and took some liberties elsewhere to maintain my own style). This type of ...

If you want to become really good at pixel art, I suggest (more than anything else) that you spend some time studying the pixel art of really great looking games. You can learn a LOT from imitating others' work. Sit down some time with sprites you find from any old great SNES game and study the form...

i feel like nothing much has been voted on as of yet. o_O eeehhh? this may be my fault for putting the end of this project/competition on thanksgiving. >_< if no one votes, it'd be sad... wait... we had ONE vote and it was for the hamter rap of awesomeness. hmmm... does this make it a win? >_O come ...

Loops utilizing 'writemapblock()' work wonders. That's all I'm saying. ;)

Everyone is open to vote. Just list which ones are your favorite and your second favorite in this thread. Cheers!

Thanks Fenrir and Mamoka! :) I spent a good deal of time on it. I also wanted to post a link to the main piano theme for Blu Eternal. It's childlike and the mood fits the game well. Hope you enjoy it too! <a href="http://www.garageband.com/mp3/W__James_Pandelis-Blu_Eternal__Piano_Theme_.mp3?|pe...

This isn't a screenshot, but I put it together using tiles from my game. It's just a little teaser for anyone interested. :D
