Being a zombie sucks! You're confused and angry all the time, and you're not even sure why!

Re: The "I'm writing a book" thread

I find a lot of fun shamelessly taking D&D spells and fitting them into my own universe. You can get so much more creative with the actual effects when there aren't gameplay limitations holding you back. Still, it feels nice to have a reference point to keep magic "balanced" in my made...

Re: OHR Podcast

I can't commit to anything, but I've edited podcasts before if no one else is on board for that task.

I love them. They're all so asymmetrical and have really nice shading. So pleasing to look at.

This set of conditionals should do it, no?

Re: Attack that leaves enemy at 1hp?

That's a pretty common RPG move. Could you do it by chaining to an attack that does 99% of target's current hp if the damage > current hp?

Re: A couple questions about O.H.R.

There isn't really a manual on it, unfortunately. There's barely tutorials for the base engine. That being said, some people have made some efforts to write guides on certain mechanics, like side-scrolling mechanics. Conveniently, even some of those are now (sort of) obsolete with the introduction o...

Jocoserious feels very OHR-flavored. I think that's a strong contender

Re: OHRRPGCE feature requests/suggestions

What about this? script, check slice colliding with wall, sl, begin variable(x, y) for(x, 0, sliceWidth(sl), sliceWidth(sl)) do( for(y, 0, sliceHeight(sl), sliceHeight(sl)) do( if(readPassBlock(x / 20, y / 20)) then( exitReturning(true) ) ) ) exitReturning(false) end EDIT: Wait, this doesn't account...

Re: OHRRPGCE stable release (Gorgonzola)

All of these minor conflicts have created some riveting plot development! The twists! The coincidence! You can't write drama this good. I thought icecream was an odd choice but was too shy to say anything. Congratulations to inchorescent.

Re: My new project

Ah, music will probably be a big part of that. It was mostly interesting because the art assets are 2D and low res. Anyway, I played a bit of the demo. It's got a bit of a slow start, admittedly, but I really like the combat. The negotiating mechanic is obviously inspired by other RPGs, but has a un...

Re: My new project

That's a big download. Doesn't seem like this game would take up that much space. Or does Godot just have bad filesizes?
