Re: One Day, We May Yet Learn To Forgive dev thread

second boss completed, there's a lot going on in this gif so allow me to go point by point: * Sven, the Guardian, is a red mage type character who's also very fast but also fragile. He uses wind and electric magic (not shown here), plus the spell Vampire which drains enemy Health equal to his own lo...

Re: One Day, We May Yet Learn To Forgive dev thread

The player is given the option of how many levels bosses give out. Yes this is a debugging tool that's also a feature. Yes this boss doesn't give a level on Minimum.

Re: OHRRPGCE feature requests/suggestions

After battle scripts automatically receive one argument which is true or false based on whether you won the battle. What value do you need for your after battle argument? Maybe there is another way to get it. I was using it in the script shown in the odwmyltf dev thread, to make it so that after go...

Re: OHRRPGCE feature requests/suggestions

would it be possible to add optional arguments to after battle scripts, like how autorun scripts in maps have them

also would it be possible to have a way for custom to check where tags are used, like how it can check where scripts are used

Re: One Day, We May Yet Learn To Forgive dev thread

Do you have an "after battle" script trigger? You could check the tag 104 in the after battle script, and if it is on, then you fix the layers I do. This is the after battle script. plotscript, light already cast, dummy map layer, begin # autorun script for indoor maps if (check tag (104)...

Re: One Day, We May Yet Learn To Forgive dev thread

A very unfortunate graphical glitch has been found, involving the light scroll and entering/leaving a battle. Essentially, what happens is that if the light scroll is used, it makes a map layer (here, layer 6) go invisible; by using it and then fighting a battle, layer 6 reappears and for some reaso...

Enemy difficulty (read: how high their stats are) can now be changed at any time in the options menu.

Re: One Day, We May Yet Learn To Forgive dev thread

Two new features: - Don't feel like fighting enemy encounters in dungeons? There's an option for making them not occur. - Immediately before boss fights, "the flames of destiny" appear to give you a quick opportunity to heal up, change your equipment, and save. It also prevents you from ru...

Re: OHRRPGCE feature requests/suggestions

for transmogrification, could the ability to change the new enemy's maximum stats to match that of the enemy undergoing transmogrification be implemented? ie: if multiple enemies with different stats all are transmogrified into the same, different enemy, and then they're hit by a status effect attac...

Re: One Day, We May Yet Learn To Forgive dev thread

^ were attack descriptions introduced in hrodvitnir, I only just now started using them and it's a much better way to organize things in the attacks menu than naming things "STMSW1CRHT" So. One of the things I wanted to implement in my game was for dead enemies to leave corpses in the fiel...

coming back to things that you did several months ago and didn't comment properly sure is a feeling, as is knowing you'll need to pare back in order to meet a deadline

Re: One Day, We May Yet Learn To Forgive dev thread

Today in implementing new graphics features: buildings disappear when you walk behind them and reappear when you walk back in front, allowing you to see more in towns. Credit goes to Artimus Bena for helping me out a ton with this.
