Re: The thread of codename suggestions

Jamboree (Party, celebration, etc.)
Jerboa (A long-tailed rat-mousey critter)
Jinricksha (Another word for rickshaw)
Jalapeño (Okay, not obscure at all... but hey, I've got to throw in my usual random food suggestion!)

* Deleting tilesets didn't delete default passability or animations, and the tilesets reappeared, blanked out, when quitting & reloading [Ralph] Oh man, am I glad to see this fixed. I've been using the tileset editor to make battle backdrops (it's the easiest way to do it when you're piecing th...

Re: SUMMER SLAM - the next gen of ohr contest

Were you inspired by the CANS series or Insanifest for MZX, because I'm getting a lot of that vibe. I've never played any Megazeux games It probably seems that way because there was a very particular formula for a scene that most Megazeux games included... I've always wondered how many megazeux use...

Re: Updates: Things are slowly becoming un-broken

I don't remember ever disabling it (and it's still enabled in my signature like it was on the old forums), and when I go to my user control panel, "Enable BBCode by default" is set on. But now that I look over to the side, it seems like it was somehow switched for me without my knowledge (...

Re: Updates: Things are slowly becoming un-broken

Is the "remember me" option when logging in one of the things that's still busted? I know this forum used to randomly log me out every now and then, but only every few days to a week -- now it seems like every time I open up the site I have to log in all over again regardless of whether I ...

Not sure what this is about, it's not often that I wander into the general discussion forums...

But my first thought reading the title "Maybe I'm A Raisin" was to wonder if that was a slightly altered version of the "Maybe I'm A Lion" song from Final Fantasy 8. 😅

An amazing one was made but never finished. https://www.slimesalad.com/forum/viewgame.php?t=3572 Not finished yet, you mean! Puckamon hasn't been abandoned, though I haven't done much with it for a while. None of my released-but-unfinished games have really been abandoned, except for The K'hyurbhi ...

So I ended up randomly making a PILE of new monster sprites for my 8-bit graphics set. Mostly following Nathan Karr's monster design prompts for each day of October (Frankenstein's monster for "corpse," trilobite for "ancient," plesiosaur for "sea monster," harpy for......

I'm pretty sure Fnrrf would have no issue with anyone releasing a game directly edited from his 8-bit graphics set's RPG files and their sample maps made to test out the tilesets rather than being a stickler for saying you'd need to export these assets and import them into a new game file Confirmin...

I thought there was already a bitset for "attacks ignore Extra Hits stat" or something along those lines? Or is that only possible on a per-attack basis? I can't remember for sure.

Oh wow, I hadn't even thought about having massive jumbo-sized hero sprites now that the sprite size limitations are all gone. That's really handy for having size differences between characters actually noticeable while also not making the small guys too small. Looks like it works really well! (I th...

I suppose if Nathan Karr shows up, he could make the decision. It's his game. Is there any way to Ping him? It's possible to send members private messages on these forums. I think the forum's even set up to send an email alert to you when you get a PM, so even if he's not actively checking the foru...

When it comes to posting edited versions of someone else's games, you'll have to ask the person who made the game. There's no general rule. I would definitely not recommend uploading an edited version of someone else's game without their permission. Heck, even editing the game without someone's perm...
