Just try a newer nightly version (they are also very stable)
That was indeed it. Thanks!

Maybe you are using the stable version, but trying to play games edited with more recent nightly builds?
20210913. I'm assuming that's the case without a better explanation.

GAME.exe Linux issues

I apologize if this is the wrong board. I'm running the latest stable version of OHR, and I've tried this on Debian 12 and Pop_Os!, and GAME.exe/ohrrpgce-game is having some problems on both distros. Pretty much every game starts with the "unsupported RPG File" warning and "unsupporte...

So after finishing 7DRL, how do you like working with 3D in Godot?

Re: Recommend media about detectives pursuing serial killers?

Twin Peaks - the first two seasons and "Fire Walk With Me". Silence of the Lambs - the movie's pretty close to the book, from what I remember. Green Arrow: Longbow Hunters focuses partially on a serial murderer. I think the Gabriel Knight games might be what you're looking for but you prob...

Re: 7DRL devlog: Grim Rejoiner

Thanks! 3D maths is hard, I can't believe how long it took me to get the camera right. There are so many axes to screw up everywhere! Retro-shooter sprite rotation? You mean like DOOM and Wolf3D where there are multiple versions of the sprites for different angles? That's too much work so just bill...

Re: 7DRL devlog: Grim Rejoiner

Good luck to you! Are you just making billboarded sprites or are you going for the retro-shooter sprite rotation effect? I couldn't get that to work for the life of me when I was messing with Godot.

Stupid question: IS that the default battle system or did you just make one that looks like it?

I'm not entering, but I would like to point out that the works of H.P. Lovecraft, (I believe) M.R. James, and a lot of old horror movies are public domain: https://www.imdb.com/list/ls002037865/

Re: Cage the Gnome

I think I played an edutainment game at school in the 90s where you tried to trap dinosaurs by drawing lines around them. I can't for the life of me remember what it was - it was one of those "minigame games", and I keep wanting to say Dinopark Tycoon but that can't be it. EDIT: Now that I...
