The coachwoman pulls the carriage off of the road and then jumps down and begins hastily unhooking her terrified horses

It looks like about a third of the other wagons are reacting similarly. Others are rushing ahead, trying to get past the king's wagon. Others are turning around and heading back down the hill.

Jasputin leads Goduvna out of the carriage, and they both scurry towards a stand of scrub oak. Goduvna's face is ashen and she does not protest. She clutches Plucksley tight in spite of his flailing claws.

The attackers have now flown close enough that they could be in range of Hyne's bow if he ran towards them.

Hyne gazes up. As the others flee the carriage, Hyne moves to use it as cover and now he fires at the riders, aiming for their leading woman he thinks is their ensign.

Attack and extra attack on the wyrm rider
1D20+2+3+2 => (20 + 2 + 3 + 2) = 27 (Crit)
2D8+2 => (2 + 6 + 2) = 10

1D20+2+3+2 => (18 + 2 + 3 + 2) = 23
1D8+2 => (6 + 2) = 8

Horde Breaker on one of the hippogrif riders if they are within 5 ft.
1D20+2+3+2 => (13 + 2 + 3 + 2) = 20
1D8+2 => (5 + 2) = 7

I googled a bit about Horder Breaker, and I think that it only applies to extra attacks if they come from dual-wield. The hippogriffs are too far away, so I applied your horde breaker to the wyrmling instead

The three guards stand, spears raised, looking ready to die as the wyrmling swoops down and opens its mouth to breathe on them, but just at that moment Hyne's volley of arrows strikes true on the rider. She flinches as two arrows pierce her, and she tugs inadvertently at the reins, causing the wyrmling to lift its head at the last second, and release the scouring blast of hot sand breath too high so it plumes over the guards heads without hitting them directly.

Hynes last arrow cuts the wyrmling, just as four crossbow bolts fly at it from different directions, including one from the coachwoman who has followed Hyne after releasing her horses.

The leader screams in rage and pain and yanks one of Hyne's arrows out of her body. She looks directly at him, and shouts a word. Hyne's lip reading suggests it is not a word in common. One of the hippogriff riders changes direction, its momentum carrying it in an arc that curves towards Hyne.

Then the leader shouts at the guards while her wyrmling again levels its mouth at them. Hyne can lip read that she is saying "...Borgan! Where...?"

Oxnar is running across the grass towards the leader. His axe is in one hand, and his hand is raised as if preparing a spell.

In the midst of the heated activity, mutters escape Hyne's lips, "Did she just mention the duke's name!?" Would a Duke even have any business making himself known in foreign lands?

As one of the supporting riders darts toward them, he yells, "One's coming!!" and immediately begins attempting to take out the rider with no pause between releasing an arrow and reaching for another. He ignores the steed for now.

"I don't know!" answers the coachwoman, thinking that his muttering was a question for her.

Both of Hyne's arrows hit their mark, wounding the rider, but he keeps his hippogriff charging.

The coachwoman's crossbow bold goes wild and misses the hippogriff rider widely.

The man's face is covered with a camoflage wrap, but his eyes gleam in the sunlight as he stares down Hyne. Steering with only his knees, two strange blades appear in his hands and he flings them expertly.

= min(17, 17) + 4 = 21 = HIT vs coachwoman's AC (8 damage)

One whistles through the air past Hyne. The coachwoman lets out a yelp of pain and falls to one knee as one strikes her, but she keeps her crossbow in her hands.

The charging hippogriff seems like it is going to plow into Hyne, but at the last moment it jogs to the side, lashing at Hyne's head with its claws as it passes.

The claw does not connect. The hippogriff lands just behind Hyne, and the rider dismounts with a jump.

The leader continues to shout at the guards. Her wyrmling bites one of them viciously. The other hippogriff rider stays flying just out of polearm range and throws a couple blades which glance off the guard's armor

Oxnar's spell completes, and a sudden haze coalesces around the wyrmling, but with a flap of its wings, it shakes of whatever the spell was supposed to do to it.

Two of the guards manage to pierce the Wyrmling with their polearms. It screams in anger and pain, and blood gushes. It flies only a foot off the ground, seeming to struggle at keeping aloft.

Hyne, from behind cover, throws open the door of the carriage at the moment a dagger was to strike at him, swiftly deflecting the oncoming weapon.

The coachwoman helping him isn't nearly so agile, Hyne hears a cry of pain and he yells, "Get down! Don't let him be able to hit you again!"

He immediately fires another volley at the rider, hoping to kill the master before he can instruct the flying beast any further.

Hyne plants two more arrows neatly in the rider's chest. He grunts and staggers and his blood gushes out bright down his clothes but he does not fall.

The rider barks a command in a horse coughing voice while producing two more blades.

Hippogriff
beak d20 + 5 = 4 + 5 = 9 = MISS
claws d20 + 5 = 17 + 5 = 22 = HIT (10 damage)

The Rider throws his blades true, striking Hyne with both. The Hippogriff lunges in. It's bite misses, but its claws connect.

The coachwoman fires again from the ground, and her bolt joins Hyne's in the rider's chest just as he is distracted by throwing his blades. It seems to much for him, and he begins to slowly slump towards the ground, eyes going glassy

The leader shouts "He's not here! Fall back!" Her wyrmling flaps backwards, putting distance between itself and the polearms of the guards. It is still flying low. She shouts another incomprehensible word in another language.

The other hippogriff rider throws two more blades at the guards, and falls back with her. The hippogriff near Hyne seems to hear this command, and dances about 20 feet away from Hyne, seeming to pay more attention to the leader than either Hyne or its recently fallen rider.

Oxnar suddenly halts his sprint towards the wyrmling now that they are moving towards him. He casts another spell.

A bright streak of flame darts out from Oxnar's hand and blossoms into a fireball centered on the wyrmling. The flames seem to glance off its sandy scales, but neverthless is screams and crumples to the ground. The leader backflips off the saddle as it falls, landing on her feet and drawing a curved sword. she is obviously singed, but looks defiant. Her colorful headdress is now flaming, but she does not even seem to notice.

The other hippogriff and rider are caught by the edge of the fireball, but remain flying.

Hyne's arm and shoulder suddenly jut blade handles like horrible tumors, staggering him. Then the winged beast falls upon him before he can properly work to scare it away, forcing the man to flail about trying to shield himself from its assault. He only manages to throw his hand for a grip under its jaw to keep from being bitten, but its claws still tear at him rapidly.

After the beast acknowledges the command to fall back, Hyne places an arrow on his bow to cautiously look out for any further danger while dragging himself backward closer to the coachwoman. He says to her, "I need to heal you. I look worse but I don't have time to pull these blades out first."

Hyne heals the coachwoman. The blade falls out of her wound as it closes up magically. She moves closer to Hyne, shielding him with her body, and training her crossbow on the retreating hippogriff, although she does not fire again

The riderless hippogriff lifts off the ground and flies low towards the leader. She runs towards it, attacking Oxnar as she passes with a vicious swing of her curved sword. The blade cuts him, but he seems to absorb some of its force with a parry from his axe.

The hippogriff rider in the air follows close over his leader, giving her extra cover.

Two of the guards hold position by the king's wagon, while the other charges the fallen wyrmling and plunges his polearm deep into its neck, making sure it is really dead.

Hyne pulls out the daggers from his shoulder, briefly looking at one of them and its design before tossing it away.

He then casts a healing spell to close his wounds.

2D8+3 => (8 +1 + 3) = 12

Only after that does he look and notice that the beast is still fighting the royal guard.

The dagger is heavy for its size, and oddly shaped, with a ring at the end of the handle. It has no barbs or hooks, so it pulls out easily.

After healing his wounds, Hyne looks and sees that the guards have finished off the Wyrmling. It looks dead.

The leader and the riderless hippogriff reach each other, and she slings herself into its saddle in one fluid motion.

Both hippogriffs start to fly upwards, out of range (they are still in range for one more turn)

Oxnar just looks up and watches them go.

The fallen attacker on the ground is not dead. He has gotten himself up into a half-sitting position, and is looking at the two arrows and one crossbow bolt in his chest.

He turns the spike in his hand, not sure what it is. He tosses it aside with no plans of ever using it himself.

He looks around one more time, expecting the spy on the horse to have fled the scene.

The hippogriffs and their riders retreat and start flying away in the direction of the town.

The guard who had galloped down the hill back to town is just a speck, and is likely to get there ahead of the hippogriffs

The procession is still in total chaos, with carriages and wagons scattered everywhere. Many people are looking up watching the receding hippogriffs. Others are paying attention to the dead wyrmling.

Hyne looks around for Jerrold, and spots her. She is behind a bunch of scrub-oak not far from the king's wagon. She might have hid herself better, but she is still leading her horse.

The coachwoman cries in alarm

The severely wounded attacker takes out one of his knives

But instead of throwing it, he lifts it to his mouth. He pulls down the cloth wrap that had been covering most of his face, and sticks out his tongue as far as he can. With his free hand he grabs the end of it. His knife-hand is trembling.
