Arcadia
Lady Kari seems relieved by Arcadia's apparent optimism about her father.
In reply to Arcadia's question, Kari bites her lower lip for a moment, and then replies;
"The fire at Shortbig House 3 was very bad. Our vulnerable neighborhoods have been in danger for a very long time, and they were just lucky until last month."
"As for this group... well, the Mayor didn't want to hand firefighting responsibilities over to one of the other Guilds, she wanted a new Guild, baked from scratch."

As Cece examines the pamphlet, she becomes more confident that, if she takes time to read it she will be able to grasp what it is explaining.
Out of the corner of his eye, Kailyn notices a street vendor setting up a small stall. He has some gleaming weapons, and some leatherwork scabbards and holsters.

Arcadia can keep the conversation going if she wants, or she can catch up with the others before they get too far (or she can do whatever else you like)

"Ooh, pretty!" He turns to the others and says, "Won't be a second, my lovelies, just going to check a little something out." With that, he moves off to the stall, safety and precaution be damned.
"Well, my good shopkeeper, a fine and most beautiful day it is, and a very pleasant and convivial salutations to you. Now, I'm looking for a new weapon, as my poor, defenseless and vulnerable self seems to be without any form of protection whatsoever." He pauses, then continues, "Well, I suppose that's a lie. I do have two daggers and the heavenly might of my divine power backing me up, but neither are really... stylish, you know what I mean? So tell you what, good shopkeeper, I will let you help me on this finest of days. I am looking for something sleek, something snazzy, something slashy and smashy. I need to get a good sword-cane, or perhaps a dagger-cane. The fancier the better. So, what do you have for me, my good man?"
OOC so as to not hold things up: If the price is under 10 gp, Kailyn will go ahead and purchase it.

Sharn, not sure if she had seen her other potion in her pouch checked again. It was there. Then she felt the need to check the rest of her belongings.
They stole your torches! said a voice in Sharn's head. Your rope is gone too!
"No. No. I dropped them myself. I was making room for more of the food." You must have been bewitched. That tiefling for sure. That rope cost more then this hand full of fruit.
"The rope was very old and worn. I wouldn't have trusted it to support much weight anyways. The torches were ruined last night. They were worthless."
They all know what you did.
"Shut up fiend!" Sharn yelled in abyssal.
The voice quiet, Sharn came back to reality. Who might have heard her just then? Sharn quickened her pace towards the smokefields.

"You don't look so good", says an old beggar woman in a matter-of-fact tone as Sharn passes her. The woman's face is scarred, and she has a rag wrapped around her eyes.
"She can seeeeeeee you! She knowwwwws!" whispers the voice in her head before shutting up again

"Hoho! You want sword-cane, yes?" The vendor says, slapping his bare chest and wiggling his head in an incomprehensible gesture. "I see by your hat that you are a man of discerning taste!"
He rummages under his folding table, and brings out a two-handed Greatsword
"Normally 45 gold, but I give it you you for 43!"

In the back of her mind, Arcadia is worried that the others are halfway to their destination by now. But she's curious…
"Surely there's a solution better than sending us with buckets of water, no matter how magical?" Arcadia asks before flashing another sweet noble lady grin "Or is the mayor out of ideas again?"

Big Hat stops before some traffic then asks the others with him, "I may be mindfully decrepit, but I can still count child's numbers. I thought a fourth one was with us?"
OOC: Can they hear Rasvim screaming out at this point?
<TheGiz> oh hai doggy, oh no that's the straw that broke tjhe came baclsb

Lady Kari shrugs. "If there are better solutions, I hope that we discover them together. We are, after all, the Guild of Arcane Firefighters."
Sharn
The eldricth blast strikes the old woman in the chest. She screams in pain and falls over sideways, and immediately begins laughing hysterically.
Nobody saw it. By pure luck, nobody else happened to be walking on that side street.
An upstairs window opens above and someone shouts "Shut up, crazy crone! Some of us are still sleeping!" before slamming the shutters closed again.
Sharn gets away cleanly, nobody will ever know Except meeeee! Heheheehehe!
Rasvim
Neither of them stop fighting.
"Back off, you ain't a player!" growls the dwarf, but this is just enough distraction that Ursula lands a fierce punch and the dwarf crumples to the ground.
"Don't interfere with the match." says Ursula, seemingly embarrassed on Rasvim's behalf.
She waits, counting silently to herself.
Big Hat Normin
The sound of the Rumbleback match and Rasvim's shout are too far away for the others to hear.

Sharn feels terrible. "You did it again you stupid orc," she told herself as she sprinted towards Smokefields. At least she was alive, she must have been if she was laughing. Why was she laughing. "Why was she laughing?!" Sharn decided it was best not to turn around to find out. But she would be back.
Arcadia nods slowly. "I suppose you have to start somewhere, right?" She flashes her smile again before adding "Well I should be off, the others are most likely way ahead of me. I hope I don't get lost …"
She waved goodbye and made her way out into the streets. Arcadia rarely traveled the …less desirable parts of the city. To say the least, it was disgusting.
