Yeah, that URL tag trick works great. Good find :)

Willy, Electrix, here is Bobo's house:
----
Bobo shares a tenement apartment in the Poor Quarter with two other cannibals. They are not of the same tribe or race as Bobo. One is a skinny dwarf and the other is a short human, but the racist Dragonborn landlord put them all in the same room because he assumed that all cannibals are the same tribe.
Neither of Bob's room-mates speaks Common.
The room is on the third floor of a big featureless five-story apartment block. Unlike most of the buildings in the Poor Quarter, it has outer walls made of brick, but the floors and most of the interior structure is made of wood. The building is in the part of the Poor Quarter where fire is possible, and from the one window, Bobo can look out and see the rubble of Shortbig House 3, the huge neighboring tenement house that collapsed in The Tragic Fire last month.
----
Decorate your room (and your room-mates) however you see fit :)
Gizmog, here is Cece's "home"

It is illegal to sleep overnight anywhere within the Smokefields district, which makes it a perfect place to sleep overnight.
Most of the illegal residents of the Smokefields circumvent the law by becoming nocturnal, sleeping in the day, and working all night in their kitchens, bakeries, foundries and blacksmithies, So for a homeless young sorcerer, who doesn't mind the sound of hammers on anvils or the smell of goats being roasted, the numerous trash-bins of the Smokefields make a perfect place to sleep the night away.
Of course, Cece isn't the only homeless person in Great Bakak no have noticed how great the Smokefields is for begging scraps and sleeping in trashcans, so she always has competition.
One of the best places to sleep are the big metal bins behind the University Satellite Campus Tent. The bins rarely contain rotten maggots or molten slag, and sometimes they are mysteriously fresh-smelling as if the student wizards have been throwing away the by-products of experimental Pleasant-Odor incantations. Besides, most of the other homeless folks stay away because they are too frightened of the Satellite Campus, just because it sometimes burns down in a magical hail of roiling elemental carnage-- as if someone sleeping in a sturdy metal trash-bin would care about a thing like that!
----
For clarification, the main campus of the University of Bakak is located in Temple Hill. That is where all the big marble lecture halls and laboratories are located. The Satellite Campus is only used by the Elemental Gnostics department, and has about the same size (and air of respectability) as a large circus tent.

Moved sheet over here. Love the house and I don't think I need to change the backstory. Seven years seems like a reasonable amount of time to survive there, the nocturnal element is almost exactly what I was thinking, and who wouldn't want to live around mad scientists?

Awesome! I guess Ebald would fill his house with pretty utilitarian chairs, tables ect, nothing terribly fancy. One thing of note is he'd probably not have any vases in the house, because they bring back bad memories. He keeps flowers in a potion flask he picked up while still working at the university, which works fine but sometimes on a quiet night you can vaguely hear the flowers meow.
Also I think I'll have my parents live off in Fantasy Florida, because that sounds amusing.

I have a metal barrel in the back alley that I have turning into a cooking pot. I also have a wool blanket made from my last sheep. It smells pretty bad because it was not tanned properly. I haven't decorated a lot because I don't plan to stay long.
I try my hardest to make friends with my roommates. I would try to teach them some of my tribe's traditional songs and dances (although Bobo isn't much of a musician).
Bobo's Equipment:
1x hand axe (From chopping wood, meat, and skulls.)
1x staff (It is a shepherd's crook.)
1x helmet (It is adorned with with sheep horns.)
1x cloak (Made from sheep's wool. It is died a deep burgundy color.)
1x boots (Made from soft tanned lambskin. They are very comfortable!)
1x loincloth (He doesn't like to wear it, but has learned that he must.)
1x waterskin (It is the bladder of a sheep.)
1x belt w/ pouches (Contains a few coins and some dried meat.)
I love that the most good and kind member of the whole party is the cannibal :D
Be aware that even though fire is possible in Bobo's part of the Poor Quarter, it is illegal. Both the law enforcement and the Guild if Cooks will come down hard on anyone caught cooking outside the Smokefields district. Tons of people do it anyway, just don't get caught! (And also because cannibalism too!)

Any ideas for an alternate CE deity?
Found one. Changed Kailyn's backstory slightly, but around 90% of it is still applicable.

The team is looking great! In spite of the big crowd, I have decided to keep us all in one adventure thread, all going for the same goal. I am going to be the slowest cog in this machine, so I shouldn't overcomplicate things needlessly from my end ;)
Let's talk equipment and money!
Kailyn
Equipment looks great.
Your rent is 50 gold a month. Your current total savings in 20 gold.
You have not purchased rabbit food yet this month.
Rasvim
You have a ton of stuff in your inventory, but since you are a hoarder living in a junk pile, I am going to allow it. Make a note that all your stuff is filthy and of low quality (it still all works, except for the lantern which is badly broken, and the rations which are super-duper-rotten)
Your rent is zero and your savings is zero.
You have 2 Kobold trinkets. I don't know where to find the loot table, so you can make them up, or I will make some up for you.
Ebald
Your equipment looks great.
You have no rent but you owe 3 gold per month property taxes. Your current savings is 29 silver
Sharn
Your equipment looks great.
Your rent is zero.
Your total life savings is 2 copper-- just enough to get high before the job interview! Or eat a healthy breakfast, whatever.
Petrol
Your equipment looks great!
Your rent is zero, and definitely nobody will murder you in your sleep tonight
Your current savings is 5 silver
Normin
Your inventory looks great.
Your rent is 3 gold, and your savings is 3 gold.... I think this makes you the most financially stable member of the party? Maybe? Gnomes don't eat much, right?
Bobo
Your inventory looks great. Please copy it into your character sheet whenever you get a chance.
Your rent is 20 silver, and your savings is 20 silver
Cece
Your inventory is good, except I am nixing the 10 rations. You have zero rations. Also, your daggers are very obviously stolen kitchen knives (but still function like normal daggers)
Your rent is zero and your savings is zero
---------
We will probably start the quest as soon as tomorrow!
Mogri, your character can still join when you are ready-- we can just pretend they slept in a bit on the morning of the job interview :)

Yeah, that's about what I thought. Ten days of food would be crazy and take all the fun out of it. Cece is also probably going to start the campaign sleepy, due to the nocturnal lifestyle and the meeting being around dawn. Is that meeting board something everyone would've seen? Is it generating a buzz around town?

There is no serious buzz about the job posting for the Arcane Firefighter's guild. It was a small posting on one of the many bulletin boards in Marketday square.
Everyone who wants to can roll a d20 and add your WISDOM modifier. If you get 10 or higher, read the following:
There IS a lot of buzz lately about the fire that collapsed Shortbig House 3 in the Poor Quarter last month, killing like 100 people.
You guess that the posting might have something to do with that, but a Guild Of Arcane Firefighters seems like a whimsical and silly reaction to it in a city that has been almost completely fireproof since the dawn of memory...
And since when does the Mayor or the Lord Treasurer care about anybody in the Poor Quarter anyway?
I imagine I'll be doing most of the rolling in this campaign, but just for kicks I might ask you to roll for stuff like this. Can't let me have all the dice-fun.

While you pondered the broader significance of the Arcane Firefighter's Guild posting, you noticed something shiny wedged between the bulletin board and the wall. A silver coin! Your life savings is now 6 silver! Maybe that is a good omen for your job prospects
RMSephy wrote:
Mildly curious, what do people use for lighting in the parts of the city where fire doesn't work? :/
In the better appointed parts of the city (Old Bakak, Temple Hill) magical lighting is ubiquitous. Everybody has magical lighting in their houses, and there are even magical streetlamps.
The same goes for Granary Hill and Marketday, where most residents and business owners can afford at least a few magical lamps, and the municipal magical streetlights exist, although they are sparser, and don't necessarily run the whole night through.
In the Poor Quarter, both the part where fire is impossible, and the part where it is merely illegal, people paint their buildings with bright whitewashes to maximize sunlight reflection at dawn and dusk. Mirrors or polished metal reflectors are popular in some of the better edges of the Poor Quarter, if they don't get broken or stolen.
But mostly, people in the Poor Quarter skrimp and save until maybe they can purchase one tiny magical glowing trinket for the family to huddle around at night, or they buy cheap disposable 1-time-use magic lights for emergencies.
Illegal fires in the flammable part of the Poor Quarter are most often small cooking fires in the middle of the day when they are unlikely to be spotted.
People in the Poor Quarter go to bed early... or they walk over to Marketday to party in a tavern.
In the Smokefields, people burn any dang thing they please.
