I know this can be easily done with a script, but I was wondering if it has ever been considered to add in conditionals, perhaps similar to those of text boxes, into the slice collection editor. For example, if you want to load a slice collection, but if a certain tag is on, then character shouldn't show up. In theory, you'd have visibility on by default, then check the tag when you load the slice collection. If the tag is on, set the character's visibility off.
I don't know how much effort it would even take to implement this feature, but I think it would help make slices more interactive. Especially because where it stands, slices are kind of segregated from the rest of the OHR by how you approach them. Basically, what I've heard called "fake plotscripting" can be done with things like text boxes and other things, but slices require you to whip out the hss.
If this would be a feasible and worthwhile feature, then I will certainly keep it in mind if a feature request is ever offered in the future.

I was actually thinking during this mouse click contest how much easier a lot of things would be if slice collection slices could be controlled with tags. The main thing I'm still struggling with is getting a system of removing a slice that's an object that can be taken/removed/destroyed without causing slice handle errors. If a tag could handle that, it'd be cake.
That's a good idea! The visibility of slices can easily be updated every tick based on tags.
Foxley, if setting a slice to invisible instead of deleting it would solve your problems... then it sounds like it would solve your problems regardless of how you set it to invisible.

Yeah but in that case, you still have to take into consideration the slice collisions and the results from them. Just making it invisible won't stop the player from being able to interact with it. You have to put another 'if' in there to make sure they can't after making it invisible.
