Not to drag this thread into debate, but why not a big fuckin arrow? What's wrong with telling people exactly where they need to go, when they're allowed to go there and letting them see the rest of the game? I respect doing your own thing in a game, the "If they can't figure it out, to hell with 'em!" philosophy, but to an extent a video game is what the player expects it to be?
Take Super Mario for instance, suppose you're a guy who has never played a game where you can jump. How many times do you die to that first Goomba before you realize something's up? Now of course, a guy who dies to that first Goomba is a moron, there's only two buttons! But then think of all the bad NES games where you had to hit like.. Down+B to attack or Select to do basically anything! There's a ton of NES games that made those mistakes where they got too cutesy with the controls and people never figured out their game because of it.
There's no shame in using the A Button to jump. There's no shame in using blatant direction to get people where they need to go. I wouldn't have known you can get out of the house if it weren't for the screenshots, I didn't know for sure the screenshots weren't some kind of a lie/troll (With OHR Games you can never tell), and I didn't even find out how to leave the house on purpose: I hopped on the counter, just wandering around being a kitty, and when I hit "Yes" to jump back down I went out the door. I thought it was a glitch till I came back inside and read what I had said yes to. I'm not surprised to find out there's people who didn't get that far.
EDIT: Oh, and even though reviewing's for chumps, I did like how you could nap in the house and build up a supply of dead bugs and lizards for healing later. Neat use of grinding! Better than buying shit!
