Okay, I might have to call it quits on this thing. While I did do a significant amount of groundwork for this, I have come to the realization that even if I went through the effort of making the graphics and dealing with various other things I would have a game that, at best, would have about 5 minutes of actual gameplay, the contents of which I doubt would be any good.
Going to try and at least get at least the basis of some other things down before the deadline, as I do want to use the 3d maze in something more substantial, but there is no chance of me getting anything concrete down in a week.

My game might not be as good as I hoped it would be, but good bad or ugly it'll be there on the 28th with bells on.

I'm not dropping out either. Making some pretty good progress... the part of the game where boss fights and additional party members start to become a thing is coming up soon.
I may not get around to cramming in everything I originally had planned, but I should have (at bare minimum) a "good ending," a "bad ending," and possibly some "to be continued" spots where I'll go back and fill more in after the contest is over.
FYS:AHS -- Swapping out some step-on NPCs for zones + each step script
Puckamon -- Not until the reserve party is expanded.[/size]
