"Gah!" Lynda shouts in horror. "That...that was nearly me!"
"I need to get out of here and find Kalar..." She thinks. She gives a nasty glare to the fortune teller, although she probably doesn't care.
She heads out to the door on the opposite side. Upon opening it, she sees a library, werewolf, and a dog.
"Oh dear..." Lynda thinks to herself. Standing in the doorway, she politely asks. "Excuse me, sir...but have you seen one of my party members around here? He probably came in looking for books."
"We're busy in here elf girl." The werewolf takes a scroll out of his pocket. He slaps it on Kalar. Kalar feels a strong magical effect wash over him. Then the werewolf bites into Kalar, hard. The werewolf remains clamped down and Kalar involuntarily struggles. Kalar feels as though he's dying. Then, a huge rush of energy washes over Kalar. Kalar passes out. "Ok elf girl, you can come attend to your friend now. This dog here is called Kalar. Be careful, he may bite."
"Woooooff..."
*If Kalar regains human form while Lynda is still in the room, but the others are not, he will try to convince Lynda to keep what just happened a secret from the rest of the party. He sees what happened as a weakness, as him losing control of the situation, and that is not something he wants widely-known.

Lynda shakes her head, and is somewhat surprised.
"I cannot believe Kalar got himself in to this situation...first Gontort dropped dead from that fortune tellers magic, and now Kalar has gone and turned himself into a dog..." She says. She looks at the werewolf and sighs.
"I am Lynda." She says with a curtsey. "Could I have the honor of knowing your name?"

Surprised by her party's chaotic movements, Tammytharn takes a step back from the goings on of these rooms. When Gontort died and Lynda wandered away, Tammytharn grew very concerned. Tammytharn bent down over Gontort to discover he was still breathing. His eyes were completely black though and he was unresponsive, just like Thistlewhistle.
Deep in the land of dreams, Thistlewhistle was surprised to find Gontort now riding on a huge four winged hawk next to him. Gontort was even more surprised, yet at ease with the whole situation. He could endlessly ride this mutant hawk forever and that would just be fine.
Meanwhile, in the library, the werewolf looks Lynda over. "You know you really shouldn't wander around in those colors. Some of the other members of my royal family might take you for a thief." The werewolf says this as he sits down in his chair and picks up his book. "My name is Claude Clover." At that moment, crackings and snapping could be heard. Kalar was transforming. Kalar awoke to find himself wracked with pain and in the middle of a horrible transformation. As the change ended, Kalar found himself to be in the form of a hybrid werewolf.
Back in the lab, Rachelle looked at Galse and Thistlewhistle. When was she assigned to guard duty?

Kalar barely holds back his screams of pain with the transformation. Once it's done, he looks at his hands, wondering what has become of him.
He thought it would be possible to hid this from the others, but it looks like that won't be possible now. However...
He turns to Lynda and says, "Ah, my dear, you're here. Let us keep how this happened between ourselves, shall we? I doubt the others really need to know the details."
If nothing else, he wants to minimize the amount of information getting out about how this came to be.
He then asks Claude, "How long will I stay in this form? And do I need to worry about losing control?"
*How should I go about changing Kalar's character sheet? Just as per the standard lycanthrope information in the books?

Lynda sighs.
"I'm quite upset that people think I stole this dress, but I understand where you're coming from. Honestly, one of the other members of your family gave me this dress for a dinner party we attended. I told her I had nothing nice to wear, so she let me have this dress." Lynda says. "I've grown quite attached to it since, and I don't mean to offend anybody by wearing it."
She looks at the newly transformed Kalar.
"Don't worry, I'll keep your secret." She says. "As well, I'd like to inform you that I believe Gontort is dead. Across this room is a fortune teller. He drew one of her cards, 'The Void' as it said, and went limp and hit the floor."
She then turns to Claude. "Would you happen to know anything about this woman?"

Tammytharn gives the fortune teller an angry look, and then tries to see if she is strong enough to lift Gontort to carry him back to where Thistlewhistle sleeps. She is pretty sure she can't do it herself, but she will give it a try. She hears the noises coming from the Library, and doesn't want to get involved in whatever is happening in there.
Almost as an answer to his own question, Kalar blacksout. He rages in fury, tearing the clothing he was attempting to put on. Kalar grows in size and hunches over. He transforms again, only this time much faster. He becomes a large wolf.
Claude, seeming not to care about the furious werewolf in the library raises up a small talisman and chants. Kalar calms and returns to normal. "Sorry about that, it is the first time I have inflicted person that had already been turned into a dog. The spell I cast on you before inflicting sped up and eased the transition. You will lose control. The wolf will take over every full moon. Thankfully, there is no moon here anymore."
Claude turns to Lynda, "As for your friend, the Void is a powerful card. His mind is gone, likely never to return. I apologize for my Aunt. She has strong beliefs and presenting her deck of many things to people is like a religious ritual to her. I can't help your friend. The only time I have ever seen someone return after the void card was drawn was when the adventurers drew another card that freed the person. Beware though, those cards hold many other dangers."
Tammytharn looks at Gontort hopelessly. She's no where near strong enough to move him. She looks back through the door and into the library. She sees Lynda talking to two werewolves.

Kalar pants in pain, focusing his will to get his breathing and his mind back under control. He stands and then says, "So you're saying that while I travel with my companions, I could very well lose control and attack them? Is there anything I could do to prevent that?"
Kalar considers finding some silver and wearing it, or perhaps finding a silver nail and embedding it in his shoulder or something. Kalar is not very knowledgeable when it comes to werewolves.

"Hm, that fortune teller is another one of the Clover kin?" Lynda thinks. "Gontort's out of the picture, Kalar is an unpredictable werewolf, and people don't like my dress...everything just got a little more complicated."
"Well, if someone is to free him, then it cannot be me. This marble amulet...it was bestowed on to me by a statue, and it nullifies all magic that comes in to contact with me. It seems to be bound to my person, and refuses to be removed. Whatever is in those cards, my hands simply pass through them as if they were an apparition." She says to Claude. "Is there any other important information that you could impart to us? I apologize if I'm pressing you for knowledge, but you're one of the few people I've met so far willing to keep up a decent conversation."

"I suggest you keep track of the moon cycles. That is assuming you ever leave this castle." Claude looks at Lynda. "I will answer two of your questions. After that, I ask that you leave. I would much rather read than entertain every adventuring party that happens to wander into the Castle. What exactly do you want to know?"
"A question, if I may? Is there any way to get rid of this affliction? Like, ingesting silver dust or something?"
Again, Kalar's not too knowledgeable about these things, especially considering the silver dust ingestion thing would prolly kill him, heh
