Lynda opens the door. It reveals a room with 3 cells in it. In 2 of the cells stand people. They look like they're been in there for years. They don't seem to have noticed Lynda.

Kalar looks up at the loft. The stairs seem blocks by the statues so he decides running up the wall might be the best way to get there. He easily runs up the wall and lands in the loft. It's sadly completely empty.

Disappointed that there's nothing there, Kalar slides his war pick back into the loop on his belt. He runs back down the walls, quite miffed that there wasn't anything of importance.

He recovers his gear and equips it all again. He then readies his shield, and heads for the door that Lynda opened, again staying away from marble statues.

He takes up position behind Lynda, ready to intervene should things get too hairy.

"Prisoners?! Other humanoids?!" Lynda thinks to herself, stunned.

She slowly steps in to the room.

"...Hello? My name is Lynda...who are you two?" She says warily, still standing in the doorway.

The 2 prisoners lunge at the cell. It's instantly clear to Lynda that these are zombies. They start trying to escape their cells and get at Lynda.

Kalar reacts as quickly as he can, and presents his holy symbol to the zombies. He channels negative energy into the symbol, and rebukes the zombies, hoping to subdue one enough to bring it under his control.

"Geh! Blasted undead..." Lynda grumbles.

She decides to go to the door directly across the room, and attempt to peek in.

From up on his loft perch, Kalar watches as Lynda enters a door. Shortly after the undeniable sound of undead come from the room and through the door opening he can just make out a zombie in a cell. This is perfect! He runs down the wall and rushed to the door as fast as he can. Completely forgetting about the statues on either side of the door.

One statue reaches out and touches Kalar's hand. Kalar grows an extra finger on each hand. A wave of clumsiness also overwhelms Kalar.
The other statue tosses something at Kalar. But nothing leaves it's hand. A tower shield appears in Kalar's hands.

Kalar, decides he got off easy by forgetting where he was and continues to rebuke. Kalar succeeds and now commands both zombies.

Lynda ignores these zombies and marches straight across the chapel. She peeks in the door there to see more zombie cells.

Kalar gets -1 to dex permanently.

"Ugh, more of those shambling husks." Lynda comments.

She decides to go to the next door nearest to her, in the top right corner of the chapel. She decides to peek in, if possible.

While Kalar's irritated that he forgot about the statues (he blames himself) he feels that it's worth it seeing as how he got a new shield and two zombie minions out of it.

Kalar turns to Thistlewhistle and says, "Here, you can use my old shield. You don't have any armor, and you've only got that tiny pen as a weapon, so this might help."

He takes the tower shield and grips the crossbar, lifting it into place. It's heavy, and it's clumsy, but he's got two zombies now who can do the fighting for him.

He heads into the room, and tries to open the cells to let his new minions out.

Lynda sees a hall way that turns left about 50' in. Nothing else, aside from stone walls can be seen while at the door.

Kalar starts prying the cells open to the zombies. The bars are solid though and any attempt he makes makes only small progress. He decides to keep at it for now.

"Hmm, this looks interesting." Lynda thinks.

"Everyone, if you need me, I'll be down this hallway." She announces to the group.

She then decides to traverse the hallway cautiously.

Lynda quickly finds that the hallway wraps around and connects tot he other door in the chapel. It also has 3 doors in it, not including the two leading into the chapel.

"Hmm, interesting." Lynda ponders.

She decides to peek in the first door on the right.

Not realizing that Lynda has gone, Kalar calls out, "Lynda, would you be so kind as to use your inexplicable ability to vaporize things with your touch on these bars? I want to get these zombies out of there so they can be of some use."

While waiting for Lynda, Kalar keeps at the cell, trying to get it open. He mentally commands the zombies to do the same.

Kalar manages to get one of the cells open and starts on the other.

Meanwhile, as Lynda is about to open the door, she hears a voice softly call:
"Pleasebe quiet. I can't stand loud noises!"

She peaks in and sees a small library. A man sits in a chair reading. He looks at Lynda as she peaks in but seems to go back to reading his book instead of addressing her. There are 2 other doors in this room. one leading south the other west.

Back int he chapel. A loud crack comes from the direction of the person that seemed to be stuck under the floor. A woman crawls out of a hole in the ground. Her hair is disheveled, her clothes tattered, her fingernails broken and her hands bloodied from the effort to dig herself out. She looks around with a crazy look in her eye.
