Harvey doesn't have time for this, and tries to slap the guy. "You don't know who you're dealing with. I'm the guy who knows all about this alley, all about who's been coming and going all day, and all about why this is the cleanest alley in this stinkin' city!"
He pauses a moment to let the gravity of that sink in. In a rare, indeed, possibly historic show of patience, Harvey pulls out his bow but does NOT aim it at the man's face, heart, or genitals. "I'm also the man who knows all about THAT!!!" Instead he fires an arrow at the meteor for emphasis, secretly hoping that maybe it'll land on a kobold and solve this whole thing.
"So are you going to let me in to talk to someone who knows something?" Now the bow is pointing at the man's genitals. "Or am I going to have to find someone else to talk to today?!"
Blast, it's impossible to see Harvey from this height. Kalar returns to the hill, gathering his minions around him.
"Right, I can't find Harvey. We'll just have to trust that he knows what he's doing. For now, we'll have to wait and see how things develop and hope we'll be in time to react."

Lynda could feel the divine power flow into her. Many things happened at once. First, her icy wounds begun to sting very harshly. Next, a thumping power came from Lynda's magical sack. She knew this as the snake staff calling to her. Finally, she felt she was being given a choice. Forsaken her strained connection with her god, or loss her ghostly powers forever. Lynda had not thought of her deity in a long time, but even then, through the intense pain she was feeling, she chose faith. The pain was gone. Lynda looked down to see that her wounds were no longer icy. A thump of power called to her from her new holy symbol.
The guard moronically attacked Harvey instead of responding to his questioning. Harvey made quick work of him. High above, Kalar searched for any sign of Harvey. The cries of the guard were literally a dead give away.

There.
Kalar lands next to Harvey, and stashes his holy symbol away.
"Found you. Looks like you have a plan. I'm not quite at the height of my power, but I figure you might be able to use some help. Lead on."

She stands up and holds her holy symbol.
"Thank you. Although the loss of my ethereal abilities saddens me, I'm glad to have gained these powers." She thinks.
She will take the silver vial she's been keeping on her and apply it to her holy symbol and to herself. After she finishes that, she'll fly in to town to join the hunt fort the kobold.

"What...?" She says. "This silvery liquid is supposed to be connected to the divine. But...why do I feel such repulsion from it? Then again, I only know that Kalar used it, and he isn't exactly...the most moral person around. And the bug demon that killed Alexander was completely made of this same silver...then I guess it makes sense."
She hides the silver away in her pack, and then flies out in to town to participate in the hunt for the kobold and ring.

Harvey doesn't have time for this. He considers slapping Kalar for sneaking up like that.. probably not a good idea. He kicks the dead guy over instead. "Did Lynda give you the stuff I told her to give you? Stuff off an inquisitor, could be useful. We're looking for a kobold. A kobold is going to destroy the city. Azedarc said as much. There's a secret passage here and the guys inside might know something.. or they might not. But we gotta find that kobold."
"See if he has anything useful." Harvey asks Kalar, before pushing bricks on the walls to try to open the door.. which one had the guard pushed alst time... about here?

Without as many spells to aid him, Kalar manifests his sword and readies his tower shield. He pokes through the guard's stuff, looking for anything useful.

"Whaddya mean you don't know who I am?!" Galse says, stupefied at the beardless man who used to be his bearded friend! Can you cut your brain shaving? He storms into the kitchen like he owns the place and makes a pot of soup, though it's difficult since some lousy bum reorganized everything! He brings a bowl back out to his brain-damaged companion and slams it on the counter.
"Don't tell me you don't remember this! You been eatin' it for months now. Go on! Quit looking at me like that! Eat it!"

Rob had been silent for a while, overwhelmed with feelings of despair. It seemed as if everything was falling apart, and they didn't know what to do. Harvey and Kalar had run off into the city, Rachelle had run away to gods-know-where, and Lynda seemed to me having a debate with her snake staff and a vial of silver liquid.
As Lynda hurried away towards town, leaving Rob alone, Stumpy's voice broke his concentration.
"WE SHOULD DO SOMETHING ROB"
"Right" said Rob, looking up at the meteor-brightened night sky. He remembered his own deaths from the flashback-vision that his father had given him. He felt certain that another death was coming soon, but he was determined to go out fighting. He would try to DO something.
Rob spurs Stumpy to top speed, and tries to follow in the direction that Lynda had gone.

The secret door swung open to reveal a steep, dark, stariway going down. While it opened, Kalar and Harvey quickly searched the dead guard. The sword didn't seem as impressive now that Harvey saw it closer. Besides the jewels on it's hilt, the sword did seem to possess any other notable qualities. Kalar did a quick scan and turned up no magical items on the guard. The only other thing he seemed to have was a small sack of coins holding 27gp and an odd wooden coin with a lizard on it.
A quick peek down the stairs showed Kalar and Harvey nothing but a stairway leading down and twisting out of sight.
Rob caught up with Lynda as she headed towards town. There was no sign of Kalar or Harvye.

"No telling what's down here. Could get trapped. If something starts destroying the city, we might even be safe down here." Harvey drags the dead body halfway into the passage. Maybe it'll keep the door from shutting. Maybe it'll cut him in half. Either way, it'll be awesome.
Having hopefully secured a route of escape, he then descends cautiously, weary of tripwire, kobolds, or the inquisition.
