Kalar flies off and hurries his progress to catch up with the others. While he does, the others consider their plans once in town. Carol seems to be warming up to the group and no longer averts her eyes when spoken to. As the afternoon drags on, the adventurer's see the town in the distance. At their current pace, they should arrive shortly.
Harvey's face scrunches with indecision. His instincts take him closer and closer to the side of the road, where he could hide in the brush and play guardian angel to the party... some angel, eh heheheh!
Safer in a group, though.. wouldn't wanna get disappeared, would you? And that's how it'd go.. bag one of 'em when they dip off alone.. bag another when they go off to look for the first.. hehe.. makes you wonder where Kalar is, don't it?
Be a lot easier without Carol.. who the hell.. why the hell.. travellin with a peasant?! Behind one, maybe.. let her run into the trouble first.. or give her a sandwich and put her in a burlap sack... keep her out of the trouble to start with. This is a new kind of adventure you got yourself into, Harvey. How're ya supposed to scheme, strategize with her snoopin?
Guess you better get in practice.. Harvey speaks low and deliberately, as if he's afraid someone will faint at any sudden moves or bold language. "Do you think our... other friends will be back soon? I'd hate to do... the show.. without 'em."
And now you gone and brought attention to yourself.. good work, Percy! With a look of disgust, like a man who just shot a dog, Harvey starts doing a flouncy foolish walk.. though it's still a bit menacing in spots. Disgraceful. I've shot dogs and felt better than this... hehehe... Scarlett the royal bearhound. Damn thing was almost big enough to ride on!

Kalar considers what he'll do once he catches up with the others. He knows that there are some towns nearby, so chances are the others might have made it to one. It would certainly not be good to waltz in with an undead abomination in tow along with a mule pulling a cart with a dead body. He resolves that should he spot a town, he'll hide on the outskirts through the night along with Jim and the mule. In the morning, he can enter the town once again saying that he is a doctor. He's got his cloak, his gloves, and his mask, so long as he keeps himself covered, it should be easy enough to avoid suspicion.

As the group gets closer to town, the far off farm houses get both closer together and closer to the road. More and more eyes seem to be on them as they go on. It becomes clear that they are drawing a ton of attention as a few people run off towards town at the very sight of the group.
Rachelle eventually notices the general panicking of the villagers, and asks Rob for his hat of disguise. It won't completely hide the fact that she's a lizard, but hopefully it will prevent the group from arriving to a warm welcome of pitchforks and fire.
It'd probably also help to procure a hooded cloak of some sort, so that she can hide her lizardlike nature a bit better.

The hat of disguise shrouds Rachelle in a large illusionary cloak. The cloak itself is green and speckled with jeweled scales. Her face is mostly hidden. but roughly resembles her old elven face. Her hands and legs are made to look like fancy gloves and boots. She still looks odd, but she could pass for human.
A few of the peasants that seemed panicked, double take towards Rachelle. A few of them chuckle, seeming to have thought they might have been seeing things at first. "That's not a lizard person, that's just some weird person in a lizard cloak. Don't wake me up for such nonsense," a man cries as his wife takes a good hard look at Rachelle from her window before shrugging and going back to her daily chores.
Nevertheless, only a few hundred feet from the town gates, two horsemen seem to be coming straight at the group. They seem shabbily armored and their weapons seem to be mundane at best. The group has no time to react before one of them holds a hand up towards the them. "Hold there. We've heard talk of this group and have come to take a look at you. Explain who you are and why you have come here." They yell this from only a little ways out of the gate.

"Showtime!"
Harvey fakes a smile and rushes to the front of the group, leading the parade with tumbles and twists and rolls, occasionally pantomiming an arrow shot at a not-so-delighted onlooker.
In his mind, he isn't entertaining, but instead perfecting jobs long gone. Remember the time I rolled down the hill in the barrel.. popped out and tried to shoot that captain.. hahaha, I was so dizzy it took 4 shots! Or the time ya shimmied between the chairs at the banquet table, got right between the dude's legs and timed it so the arrow just beat his spoon to his mouth. Wonder what that tasted like, heheh! Pity nobody else wanted a bite!
EDIT: I'd meant to say that before Spoony's ost. Don't let me have just said "Showtime!" to the guards. The following is meant to be after Spoony's post.
Harvey remembers the best advice Daryl ever gave him: "Harvey, keep your mouth shut and let me do the talking". He gives Rob a "go on, they're waiting" look, and then continues frolicking around the cart.

"We heard there was a lizard monster coming to town with a strange bunch of travelers. I see the strange travelers, but I don't see the lizard monster," the man looked Rachelle over then. "Unless they meant you. Why have you all come here and how long will you be staying."
Rob had heard of the watchful eyes of the "Marshals" in this town, but had never alerted them before himself.

Rob explains; "We are performers, just passing through. We hope to sample the famous local food, rest for the night, and keep moving tomorrow."
"Which is not to say we wouldn't gladly put on a performance here, if you ply us with enough plum wine" Rob adds with a winning smile
