"Uh oh!"

Rob attempts to put the amulet where he saw Lynda last. Will that work?

"I'm convinced that giving them to you is the right thing to do. For Averogne and for us all. I appreciate the help that's been offered to replace the artifacts that you'll be securing, I'm sure we're going to need it if we're to succeed. Just... the last time I trusted someone, we almost got killed by Azedarc's Inquisition. And my companions wouldn't know it, but the time before that was even worse... don't make me regret this, okay? Sorry to put you through all this, and thanks for being patient. You could've just taken this stuff and it says a lot about you that you didn't."

Kalar/Zombie moves away. Slowly.

Once out of sight of the beholder, he'll/it'll head for one of the other rooms. There will certainly be some other potentially interesting things in the other rooms that won't require fighting something like that.

Kalar heads for the room/hallway west of room 6.

The amulet lays flat against the ground where Lynda was, seeming to do nothing.

Claire cried, "You're a real dragon! Oh my!" That was all she could manage before going back to an awe struck stupor. The dragon replied to Voulton with, "The artifacts will be safer here then anywhere else. So, where are the artifacts?"

Kalar retreated from the beholder room and entered the room where he found Bill. He investigated the room at the end of the hallway to the north to find it braced and locked.

"The Sword of Sylaire is with my friends, in Lynda's belongings on the wagon. The others are in there too, somewhere. I'm just the dumb muscle, I haven't concerned myself with the specifics as much as maybe I should. We should be able to get them quickly."

Kalar/Zombie decides against trying to have his/its minions break this door down. Instead, might be wise to backtrack and search the other rooms.

Kalar has one of his skeletons open the door to the south of room 3.

"How did we get here?" asked Claire.
"I used magic." replied Dan coldly.
"Ah, I see. I've always been curious about magic. It must be very interesting to be under such a strict ban. I don't suppose you could use magic to take my noble house in La Frenaie?" asked Claire.
"No one has told you?" replied Dan, getting only a puzzled look back. "La Frenaie has been completely destroyed. There would be no where for you to return to if I did."
"Oh..." said Claire. She seemed to retreat into herself then and didn't say anything else.
"In any case, I will need more time to prepare if I'm going to be teleporting that many more times today. I suggest you all take your time here. I won't be taking any one back here today after I take you back and I won't be ferrying you back and forth whenever you like," Dan stated.

Meanwhile, Kalar opened the door to his south. This room holds an altar. Bones and vials of blood line the alter. An unholy looking book sits atop the altar open to a well read page. An eye is painted on the wall behind the alter. (The altar seems to be to Veccna.)
Rob detected nothing with the glasses Lynda had left behind. Lynda was gone.
Meanwhile,
Lynda woke up to find everyone but Rob had gone. Rob seemed worried and was looking her way. She tried to ask him what was wrong, but he didn't seem to hear her.

Rob shifts uncomfortably. He feels guilty. He was supposed to be keeping watch, and now Lynda has gone and vanished.

"Lynda!" Rob calls. "Lynda!"

He glances over to Kalar, to make sure he isn't vanishing too.

Kalar was lifeless on the ground. He had not moved an inch nor had his undead guardians.

Hrulgin had traveled to the other side of a large rock formation. A skittering sound had drawn his attention and he moved in to observe.

Kalar/Zombie decides not to enter the altar room, at least not without cutting it off from Vecna first. He/It leaves and heads for another unopened door (below room 5 on the map, at the end of the hallway). As usual, he orders skeletons to move ahead of him, screening for traps.

Now what could that be? Hrulgin inches forward, keeping as quiet and stealthy as possible, to see what it is.

Kalar's zombie avatar leaves the altar and proceeds down the southern hallway. It comes across yet another braced wooden door. The door is locked.

Hrulgin approached the skittering sound, slowly and stealthily. After a few minutes, Hrulgin reached the peak of a hill and looked over the top. In a small valley on the other side, Hrulgin spied several small reptilian insect-like creatures. Most of them seemed to be about the size of a dog, but a few of them seemed to be as big as a human. Some of them seemed to be feasting on a fresh kill. Hrulgin was unable to determine what they had killed. Hrulgin noticed that the skitter sound seemed to be coming from a couple other directions in the area as well, hinting at many more of these creatures.

Meanwhile, a talking mouse had wandered into the dragon's cavern. It seemed to be discussing a medical treatment of some sort. The mouse was followed by several men. The men were dressed like clerics. On the front of their shirts, and the tiny shirt of the tiny mouse, a silver dragon claw could be seen. "Oh, we were unaware you had guest oh great dragon god," one of the men said while averting his eyes from the dragon.

Kalar/Zombie backs away down the hallway, ready to flee just in case. He/It then orders his/its bloodhulk to smash the door down.

Right, not good. Hrulgin decides to run off and warn Rob about it.

Kalar watched as the bloodhulks smashed open the door.
This room features a large anicent tapestry. The tapestry looks to be in good shape aside from the clear signs of fading and moth bite holes. A large chimera is painted on the tapestry. The colors of the chimera have faded and chipped away but what remains shows that this tapestry was once an amazing piece of art. A stairway leading up is also found in the room. Light can be seen up the stairs.
