Rob casts Ghost Sound in the direction of the fire trap in the hallway that burned him earlier.
"Scuffle, scuffle, crumble scratch" he mouths to give shape to the spell's sound, and he backs up flat against the wall and gestures for the others to do the same.
"If skelly here follows the sound, let's go the other way. We can come back and save these poor souls in a few hours when the coast is clear." Rob says, gesturing to the starving chained people.
The skeleton retreats back to the room with people chained to the wall, then proceeds down the hall to the north of the room. Finally turning to the right at the end of the hall, leaving the sightline of the party. The sound of a door opening and closing is heard by the party at that time.
Rachelle doesn't bother heading towards the prisoners just yet. What if they're in the process of becoming undead, and talking to them would end up ruining the spell?
Instead, she makes a strong a look of 'hey, we'll be back for you later' towards them, and follows Voulton deeper inside.

Kalar losses only one more zombie before the battle is over. Blood covered the ground and also a majority of the bodies that were left standing. Kaar himself had landed the final blow. Blood spurted all over him as he had done it. The smell was vial, but none of those present seemed to notice. Kalar's attention turned toward the tower then.
"No, please!" says a woman chains to the wall as Lynda approaches. The man on her left flinched a little as the woman cried and the woman on her right made no movement at all. Slowly, the woman looked up at Lynda. The woman's eyes widened and her mouth fell open. She seemed to be in shock and struggled to speak to no avail.
Rob tugged Lynda away then and followed after Voulton who was already halfway down the hall. Voulton approached the end of the hallway then, finding a slightly ajar door. Inside, the skeleton stood near a pale man in a tattered cloak. Tables and shelves sat around the room. Voulton could see bones laid out neatly on the shelves and tables. The pale man seemed to be tending tot he bones. The party didn't seem to have been noticed.
"COME BACK!" cried the woman. The pale man turned towards the door then and stood defensively. Voulton made notice of the fangs protruding from the man's mouth.

Voulton isn't sure whether or not he's been spotted yet, but readies the cold iron battle axe (GOD does it feel small in comparison) and shield. Lynda's doing exactly what he hoped he'd do, so he moves and gets into a position where he'll be able to back her up when it all goes to hell... and inevitably it will.
The surprise on the man's face is something Lynda may never forget. A quick moving creepying cinder covered the man's body before he turned into nothing but a pile of dust on the ground. Lynda was scratched on the back then, or at least she would have been if not for her incoporeal nature. The skeleton scratched at Lynda helplessly.
Excellent.
Kalar wipes the blood off himself as best as he's able, and then vanishes his sword.
"Hrulgin, I'm going on in after them. The alarm has certainly been raised, and they might need my help. I'll leave most of the undead here with you, and they'll be under orders to attack anything that you attack. I'll take two bloodhulks and five skeletons with me though, just in case. While I'm gone, collect all the skulls here that you can and then store them in one of the barrels. I have ideas for magical items that can use them."
Kalar uses his glove to heal all of the undead until they're as repaired as they'll get. With that done, he sets off for the three towers. He's not sure which one the others went through, so he'll inspect each for signs of entry and proceed through the one that seems the most likely to have been where the others went.
