Lynda leans in to Alexander and hushes her voice.
"Please listen to me. You are in danger. You will get the four items and get to the tomb, but...someone close to you isn't all they appear to be, and in your fighting with them, you will shatter the sarcophagus and fail. Helena told us this. She talked about her party, too."
"She said she quested with a dragon, a cleric, and a giant...to defeat something called Baalzebul? We're no fools, and we don't seek to harm you in any way. And Sylaire Castle is a thing? From our time, I don't even think that exists. We'll be more than happy to leave, but I needed to fulfill Helena's request."
"My lady, our quest beckons. We have to finish what wecame here for. Helena will be satisfied that we told her what we could, but we have to finish what else she helped send us here for. I advise we take good Alexander's offer and head off on our way."

The silvery bug sprung up then and sat on the giant's shoulder. It seemed to whisper to the giant.
"The future? I did hear a rumor about Sylaire having a portal through time near it. Helena sent you to warn us of a traitor? It figures someone would mess things up. Alright, so who did it? Rock-Sounds? Jeremiah? Who..." and than Alexander looked over at the silvery bug. "Oh, he would dome something like that too, wouldn't he. Don't worry, I'll take care of him the first chance I get. Thank you for this information." Then Alexander flew a little higher and said loudly, "Your group is foolish if it thought to share the spoils of this battle. You there, necromancer, leave that manticore here and you and your group all leave." Alexander pointed towards Kalar saying this.
"Where's just going to let them go?" complained the cleric, known as Jeremiah. "What kind of dragon just let's a royal elf walk away when he meets one in the woods. You don't speak for us, Alexander. They should at least have to pay for their freedom or something!"
Alexander motioned for the party to leave at Jeremiah spoke.

Still thinking of seeds and trees and time differences, Voulton whispers into Lynda's ear and hands her one of his smokin hot queen Platinum Pieces. "Give him one of these, or something. It'll let us immediately establish a rapport in the future... or maybe not." He'll leave it up to her whether or not to use this plan.
"Good Alexander, I beg a boon of you though. We need this manticore to help defeat an even greater evil. The lives of hundreds depend on us destroying this greater evil. But you are a perceptive and wise individual. You will know that I am telling the truth and that my word is iron when I tell you that you have my word I shall release this manticore as soon as we have dealt with the greater evil. I will also ensure that it harms no innocents. You have the word of Kalar Kess, and I will die before I break my word."

"Pay, you say?" Lynda says. "Very well."
Lynda takes Voulton's platinum piece. She takes out her two human statues. She hands the platinum piece and one of the statues to Alexander. She leans in to him and whispers.
"Hold on to those dearly. We have matching coins, and I have a matching statue. This is for if we can meet up in the future. I hope we'll meet again."
She then turns to the rest of the group.
"Well, we must be off. Parting is such sweet sorrow and such. Farewell!"
She then begins to leave with her party.

Alexander looks around a bit nervously, "Ah yes, this will serve as payment for the manticore corpse and as payment for your safe passage."
"Why not just accept copper pieces and bits of hair while you're at it Alexander?" said Jeremiah.
"I believe this statue has some real value. Look here, at these runes. It intrigues me and I say it's fine. Do you really want to continue questioning my judgement Jeremiah?" said Alexander. Jeremiah scoffed and turned to the side at that.
The party left, manticore and all. As the left, they looked back at group of misfits and saw themselves in them. Someday, they may meet them again.
The party marched on, in the direction the compass pointed. The day changed from morning to noon and then noon to nearing duck as they approached what looked to be a small grouping of houses. Not quite big enough to be called a town, these five houses grouped together in the woods seemed unkepted. Eyes peered out of cracks in the walls. According to the compass, the first werewolf was likely somewhere in here.

Kalar views the village in the distance. Before moving on though, he takes Bob the Pony's military saddle off. He then materializes his dagger in his hand and gets to work cutting a few straps and tying bits of rope here and there onto the saddle to make it fit for Bill the Zombicore.

Tammytharn remains silent. She is worried about how powerful Helena's party had seemed, yet they had still failed.
She takes out her notes, and scribbles Alexander's name next to "Blue Dragon", but she isn't sure what else to write. She wishes she had been taking better notes about what Helena had told them on the boat.
She was impressed by Voulton's idea to give the coin to Alexander

The sun began to set as the party looked at this tiny hamlet. Through a window, Rachelle saw a werewolf slink by in the house closest to the party. As she was telling the party what she saw, other werewolves were spotted in the other houses. It's not long before many werewolves are spotted in each house.
Then the howling began.
A loud droning howl enveloped the area. It seemed to be coming from the houses.

"It also means that some of us may begin to turn. Quick tie up those who were bitten. At least until we're sure they won't turn. Tammy and I will try to hold off these werewolves with our magic until we're sure those of us who were bitten will not turn."

Voulton rolls his eyes and flops the rope out of his pack onto the ground. "And what if the two of you get bit while the rest of us are tied up? A damn convenient feast for 'em! I say you two use the ropes to ascend to the treetops and the rest of us will hold 'em off on the ground as long as we can!" and with that he turns his attention to the wolves:
"ATTENTION WOLVES! YOU ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR ACTIONS! YOU ARE VICTIMS AND IT IS NOT TOO LATE! EAT THE BLUE FLOWERS AND THERE MAY BE A CHANCE FOR YOU! POINT US TO THE SOURCE OF THIS MENACE AND STAND DOWN AND YOU WILL BE SPARED! THOSE WHO CHOOSE TO RESPOND WITH VIOLENCE WILL MEET THEIR END!" and finishes with an intimidating flourish of his axe and a savage battle cry to give them no doubt as to how they will meet that end.

The howling stopped then. Werewolves began to exit the broken down houses then. They gathered near an old dead tree in the middle of the hamlet. More than a dozen werewolves were out before it came. Out of one of the least destroyed houses, a very large werewolf came. It stood easily 12 feet tall and unlike the other werewolves that were unarmed and mostly nude, this werewolf wielded a large bastard sword and wore leather armor. It spoke, "Another full moon comes and our pack shall grow. We have guest tonight. Shall we welcome them?"
