Voulton nods in the affirmative (that he's found the answer to any questions he might have had), but can't help feeling that maybe he's forgetting something. Too tired to think now.

Tammytharn opts to think about the sale of the tome a little longer, until she can determine what they would spend the money on if she did sell it.

Feeling frustrated by how far over her head the Golem books is, she decides to spend a little time working on a simple and satisfying project.

She takes the Ruby dust that she had created in the castle from Lynda's ruby, and finds one of her gold coins, and casts Continual Flame on it. After she is done with that, she tests to see if the magical effect of the Continual Flame spell is enough to prevent her from lifting the coin directly using her Mage Hand.

After that experiment is done, she will go shopping to search for a portable Holy Water font for scrying, some silver powder for making holy water, and she searches for a Holy Relic suitable for the casting of Holy Aura.

She doubts she can find any Raoan holy relics here, but if she can find one to a local god or saint with sufficient connection to the virtues of Peace and Reason, she is confident that Rao will accept it.

$100 Holy Water font
$100 for enough silver powder for 4 castings of Bless Water
$500 for a Holy Relic

Tammytharn finds that the continual flame on the coin indeed impairs her ability to move the coin with mage hand. She is able to do it but it's as if the coin weighs the maximum amount of weight that the spell can lift. She's only able to move it at a third of the speed of normal items and has to focus harder than normal to do it. She considers the idea that magical properties add weight to items with regards to mage hand. She wonders if there are any other spells that are affected this way and if there's a way she can use this new found knowledge of magic to her advantage.
While thinking these things over, Tammytharn leaves Moriamis and her party members and goes to buy a few things. She finds a small clerical item booth. It has a small box of holy relics. In the box she finds a relic with bushy white hair that makes her think of her god. Right next to the box she finds a small vial of mercurial liquid. It's priced at 2,000gp and the salesman seems to have no knowledge of what it is or does. "It's been here for longer than I can remember," says the shopkeep. "This is a communal booth though, so I can't sell it for less than the marked price, even if it's almost worthless."

Just for kicks, Tammytharn asks the permission of the shopkeeper for her to cast Divination to ask Rao if she should buy the mystery liquid.

Normally she would not have even considered it, but the idea of carrying around the valuable book makes her feel rather wealthy.

Tammytharn is surprised by the unambiguous response. She had expected the cryptic sort of vagaries that so often come from divination spells, so for a moment she is worried that the shop keeper had somehow managed to interfere with her spell just to make a sale.

But her faith in Rao prevails, combined with her feeling of wealth, and she impulsively purchases the mystery liquid.

She considers going right away to try and find someone who can identify it for her, but decides that it would be rude to her friends and to their host Moriamis to stay out any longer.

She imagines there will still be time for a few more errands in the morning.

Tammytharn returns to the others.

After sleeping on it, Tammytharn decides that she should sell the Tome of Warforged/Golem Manual. She doesn't think she can use it, and she doubts that she will be able to sell it all in other places, since magic is forbidden in this land, so she should take the opportunity to sell it to the eager librarians who asked for it the other day.

However, she procrastinates going back to the library to sell it, and never does get around to it, thinking tat she will first decide what she wants to spend the money on.

She also intends to ask around if there are any Wizards who will quote her a price for casting the "Permanency" spell on her. She is interested in a permanent casting of any one of:

Tongues
Detect Magic
Read Magic

Rachelle returns with a whole bunch of junk, some of which she couldn't believe she had neglected to bring with her originally. Of course, the art was the most important part of the haul. She only glanced at what she bought before shoving it in her new bag of holding, but she knew that anything brought back from a place that had been sealed off for apparently centuries was going to be culturally significant.

Without any real desire to think further on the workings of this community or whether they should be concerned about such generosity, she falls asleep almost immediately after coming back.

While Tammy is off looking for a wizard, Kalar decides to do some last-minute research. In particular, he wants to find information on the aristocracy and the local clergy. Perhaps if there's some sort of connection, he can figure out which of the Lords of Hell is behind the curse.

He also goes around trying to find anyone who can give him information about the broken scepter he picked up in the encounter with the "queen". He also tries to see if there's anyone who would purchase it. It's broken, but it might be worth something.

The party sleeps and wakes at different times. As they sleep, the ones that read can feel knowledge oozing in their thoughts. Kalar feels something else as well. He finds himself in front of Dispater once again. The mark on his chest burns. He can feel it spreading. It reaches his armpits all the way to his navel. Dispater smiles and nods in what seems to be approval. Then Kalar wakes up. The silvery liquid like coating on his chest matches what it looked like in his dream.

Tammytharn was already awake at this point. She looked all over for a powerful spell caster to cast permanent spells on her, as she had seen done before. However, the only person who seemed to have access to the spell was an old robed man who had it in a spellbook. The old man said he wasn't able to cast the spell himself and also would not part with the book.

With his new-found learning from the books, Kalar tries to learn more (if anything) about the silver mark on his chest. He would rather not ask anyone else about it just yet, seeing as how it's connected to his deity. And knowing that, someone just might try to knife him for it.

Lynda decides to spend some money, as well as sell some of her hoarded treasures. Lynda decides to sell 4 of her large diamonds.

She decides to buy:

An Ermine Cloak
A Silver Rapier
Handy Haversack
Hat of Disguise
Spyglass

Lynda decides she needs her amulet ordeal adressed. She approaches Kalar.

"Kalar, since I'm dealing with many magical items, I need to know I can use them." She says. "I fear for my arm, though, and the whole vanishing thing. Do you have any solution as to what might be happening to me?"

"Hmm, I can take a look. Remove the amulet for a bit, I'll see what I can tell from a quick inspection. I'll also see if there's anything magical I can do."

Kalar readies his holy symbol, intending to cast a spell as soon as the amulet comes off. Hopefully, he'll be able to remove the curse, assuming it is a curse. Either way, he plans to inspect the arm to see what he can learn from it.

After finding out that the broken mace was worth 75gp in materials, Kalar goes back to reading in the library where he's confronted by Lynda's proposal. HE readies himself as she removes the amulet.

Lynda's arm erupts into a ghostly mass. White mist swirls around her arm as the ghostly nature slowly creeps up past her shoulder.
