Kalar readies his tower shield and his claws.

"It was a question, and you claimed you would answer. I have no intention of fighting right now, as I only desire that information. But if you strike first, we will retaliate. So answer those last three questions, and we're don here."

Galse crosses his arms, making no moves for his weapons. "Thanks for killing that boar, by the way. I didn't know it was there, could've gotten ugly. I owe you one."

The skeleton turns and walks into the forest. "Good bye, Galse and Kalar. We shall meet again." The skeleton leaves.

Galse waves even though he won't see it and turns back to the road. "Did that go well? I think that went pretty well. Let's find a place for you guys to set up camp and then I'll investigate that inn.". Feels good to take the lead. Feels good to not piss off everyone you come in contact with.

EDIT:

Kalar relaxes. That could have gone badly, as he had no idea just how powerful the skeleton was. If he did have to face the skeleton, he would much rather have a score of undead at his command and his full array of spellcasting available.

He turns to Galse and says, "We should keep a watch out for that one. Who knows when he'll be back. Let's get going then. Hrulgin and I will hide in the woods, along with our injured. Someone should check out that inn."

"I can handle that. Someone keep an eye out for me, ear open for any trouble. I'll try to signal if it's clear, and if it's dangerous I'll be running like hell." and with that, Galse goes to the inn to make first contact. Hopefully nobody will blow up any walls, or turn into a giant, ask to get their head cut-off like in that story the girls told, hopefully the door to the inn will be open and he won't need to collect four keys to open three locks. Yep. Hopefully everything will be perfectly normal at this inn. Galse is optimistic as he heads towards it.

And everything was perfectly normal as he entered the Inn of Bonne Joissance. He didn't really understand the name, but he'd seem weirder names for Inns. The Inn opened into a tavern. Many people sat around tables eating and drinking. Some of them turned to look at Galse, no one seemed to pay him much attention. The Inn keeper seemed friendly and offered Galse many different food and drink choices. The one thing Galse did notice that seemed out of place, was that everyone here was human. There were no elves, no dwarves, no little halflings running around.

Galse is incredibly relieved to find the place hospitable! He places an order for food and drink for the group, paying with the gold he brought if it's customary to pay first. And then he makes his apologies to his host "I have to excuse myself for a second, I was so excited to see an inn I ran ahead of my friends. They must be getting pretty close now." He gently shuts the door behind him so as to not disturb the other diners and then shouts out into the woods "Hurry up, you bums! Foods waiting! It's a perfectly normal inn, no tricks or traps, just like I thought!". The lack of elves or dwarves does not bother or interest him in the slightest.

Hmm, this should be worth scouting.

"Hrulgin, hang back here with Thistlewhistle and Tammytharn. See if the two of you can set up a camp and a place for the gnome. Lynda will go ahead and she and Galse will see if we can secure a room for the sleeping gnome."

Kalar begins removing all of his gear, laying it out beside Hrulgin. "Keep an eye on my gear, I'm going to see if I can head on in disguised."

With all of his gear off, Kalar sits down, focusing himself. "Be ready to restrain me should this go wrong. Use your paralysis if you have to."

Kalar takes a deep breath, and tries to focus on changing into a dog.

Kalar has trouble changing shape. He does manage to become a dog, though he looks very wolf like. Not like he did when he had originally turned into a dog at all.

Kalar the dog falls in behind Lynda. He'll follow her, and attempt to act the part of the trained and domesticated dog.

He will, however, keep his eye out for any danger, as well as using his canine senses to scout around for anything that might be of interest.

The group slowly made their way into the Inn. The found that the gold they had brought was more than the Inn was used to dealing with and quickly found themselves renting out the finest rooms for only a handful of gold that the party hadn't even bothered to count yet. They place Thistlewhistle on a bed in one of the rooms which didn't seem to raise any attention. Kalar got loads of attention though. Many patrons looked very suspiciously at the wolf dog and in turn at Lynda. Lynda notices a few people gesture towards her ears. Tammytharn first makes sure Rachelle's statue is going to be safe where it is in the forest with Hrulgin guarding it. Then she sets Thistlewhistle up in a room. After that, she tries her best to relax. The worst of things seemed to be behind the party.

Despite it being completely against what he would normally do, it seems that allaying the fears of the peasants seems to be in order. Kalar does his best to try to act the part of the stupid, but friendly and lovable dog.

He... ugh... frolics... about, trying to put on some sort of show for the peasants to convince them that he is absolutely harmless and in no way worthy of suspicion.

Alas, this seems to only make the small matter worse. The murmurs grow and some patrons even seem to bring their concerns to the Inn keeper. Thankfully, the Inn keeper waves them off with a good chuckle.

Well... that could have gone better... Should have been expected, seeing as how Kalar has no experience whatsoever in being adorable and cute.

Not wanting to push his luck any further, Kalar moves to a corner in the inn and pretends to sleep. He does, however, keep an ear out for anything of interest that might be said. Who knows? Someone might let something slip in the presence of a dog that they wouldn't in front of strangers.
